• (2023-06-20) Matthew Edmundson: I used ChromeHistoryView by NirSoft to verify that this does remove the history before the set number of days. At least, it works at some point after pressing the set button. But it'd be better if it gave a clearer indication of when it's accomplished the task. Maybe give a readout of how many entries it has cleared or some other way of letting you know it actually did something.

It doesn't automatically limit the history saved to the last X days, you have to manually press a button which will delete all history except the last X days. The description is misleading, but the functionality is good for what it is.

• (2013-09-02) 很不错的扩展，能够清除太过古老的历史记录，对像本人这种基本用不上历史记录的人来说很有用。但似乎将参数设为0的话没理想中的效果呀（不能阻止生成历史记录），设成1，感觉不错。

  When opening the options it just shows "History Limiter Custom" in an overlay over the the extensions page. There's no way to see the area where you actually enter the number of days you want to set.

  When setting the number of days, it appears to clear history before you're done entering the days you want. For instance, when I changed it from the default 100 days to 30 days (typing 3-0), it cleared everything but the last 3 days of history. Then I typed 20 days (2-0), and it left only the past 2 days of history.
