Obsidian Web Clipper is the best way to save, highlight, and interpret the web:
- Save anything: From news articles and blog posts to recipes, product pages, and research papers — if it's on the web, you can save it.
- Highlight: Easily highlight important passages, and save highlights to Obsidian. When you return to a page, your highlights are visible.
- Interpret: Use natural language to extract and modify data from pages. Compatible with any model provider including local model options.

- I like it but I also want to report that every time I clip something that has text that ends with an exclamation mark followed by an image, the file is incorrectly saved as the extension (? I have no knowledge of how this works) interprets the exclamation mark as markup code and the image will not be shown when in viewing mode. example: Yey![![IMG Is there anything to be done about it or do I have to correct manually every time? In other respects no complaints, so thank you for the extension!

- Wow, I wasn't expecting so many rich and powerful capabilities of this extension. Conversions seem to work reliably, template capabilities are robust (even including text filtering capabilities), and I appreciate the quality of life features that have been included such as inline syntax checks, seamless config saving, native reader mode and useful hotkeys. Well done!

- I use this religiously and it has been fantastic. It's very convenient to use and keeps all of my notes WITH their respective media links. I use it as a journal and a dashboard, so I can have the things i need to look at every day, that's all in one spot. I have been using Obsidian Web Clipper for more than a year and have not had any real complaints about it. This is SO good that this is the only review I have ever left for a product online hah

- Great for simple clipping, not yet good for recipes - I spent hours attempting to adjust the recipe template to find that it's not possible to get the clipper to work for all sites that use the Schema.org Recipe format. The default recipe template successfully clips a simple list of recipe instructions, but Schema.org recipes can have lists of objects with nested recipe instructions, which the templating language can't handle. I'm ok with making my own templates, but without conditionals to deal with the different formats and the ability to do some form of nested processing, I still need to do more manual work on each clip than I'd like. With a more fully-featured templating language, would be 5 stars! Love the customizable templates overall.

- Works as advertised but to get max value you need to understand how to create custom templates for each type of note. If you just use the default template you are missing half the power of this plugin.

- The UI does a great job of mirroring what I'm used to when I'm working in Obsidian. This made it a breeze to just start using without RTFM. After RTFM, I was pleasantly surprised at the customization and automation options (e.g. templates) this extions offers. It's fast, offers plenty of customizations (which aren't required but handy), has a nearly flat learning curve, and amazingly FREE! This covers most of my favorite things. Thanks to the devs for creating this great extension and offering it to everyone for free.
