This extensions allows you to access your bookmarks by clicking on the left or right side your screen. You can edit, delete or rearrange your bookmarks by drag&drop and view some information about them by just clicking them with your left mouse button. You can check your bookmarks for updated or broken urls, too.
You can also open your bookmarks in the side panel provided by Chrome. The sidebar will then be opened alongside the websites and stays there as a permanent sidebar.

- (2025-06-26) D. Manh Phan: great extension, fast, clean and does what it's supposed to do. i use the free version but if there was one more feature it would convince me to go for the paid version, that is upload and personalize folder icons as you like. hope the dev will update this feature soon :)
- (2025-05-01) Sebastian Llamas: This extension has a very sleek design with tons of customization options. I was looking for an extension to help me manage and organize my bookmarks, and I'm so glad to have found this one. I appreciate how intuitive it is to use.
- (2025-04-22) anonymous user:
- (2025-04-01) Evgeny Trubnikov: very nice looking
- (2025-03-07) Just Sturgis: Fantastic extension!! Loads of customization, great design and very quick to respond. The free version does everything I needed, but it was well worth investing in the Premium version for the extras and to support the dev! Great work!
- (2025-03-04) Σπύρος Παγιάτης: Thanks, very good work!
- (2025-02-25) stefano 4235: brings back the bookmarks tree view in the sidebar. thanks!
- (2025-02-14) Brandon Tarr: [Update Feb 2025] with a recent (forced) Chrome update, the Bookmark Sidebar extension now makes the entire browser so sluggish that it is unusable. Will update my rating when / if this is fixed. Stop looking. This is the closest you are going to get to a user configurable bookmarks sidebar like Firefox. Install it!

- (2025-02-10) Marcel: Overall OK, but quite fiddly when organizing and searching the bookmarks, that could be done much better also visually.
- (2025-02-03) Pinxuan Zhang: Pretty good!
- (2025-02-02) M J: I couldn't get it to work in Brave. It just kept saying "something has blocked the sidebar." In any case I was getting a major headache trying to read the settings with its ultra-fine and ultra-faint font set over a blinding white background.
- (2025-01-25) Jeffrey Mayer: This has been a disaster! One day it stopped working. It had a "repair" option so I chose it. It warned that your bookmarks could be removed so I clicked on cancel. Guess what? It deleted all of my 900 bookmarks anyway and I don't know how or if I can get them back!
- (2025-01-19) Ross Vassev: It's too damn big.
- (2025-01-17) Legion: "something has blocked the sidebar..." I get this often, yet opening Settings and click "save changes" (without changing anything) puts it back to normal.
- (2025-01-13) Mong Yang: Love this feature. However, I really wish the sidebar could be adjustable on the permanent view with a smaller width. At the moment takes too much screen space.
- (2024-12-28) Anas Ansari: Extension is good, but it stops working randomly. I have set the mouse over shortcut to access the side bar, but it randomly stops responding, means nothing happens when I take the mouse over. Then I have to uninstall and re-install the extension, which erases all my settings. Please fix this.
- (2024-12-17) Kellan Lutz: The bookmarklet works fine from the top right of the window ︙→Bookmarks and the list, bookmarklet does not work from the bookmarks sidebar of this extension.
- (2024-11-23) Igor “IverCold” Verner: This extension is not working, it doesn't save appearance (left-side, left-click) or saved appearance does'nt work. If I open it by extension button it opens as usual chrome bookmarks sidebar which unconvinient. Can someone help with it? Chromve v.131
- (2024-11-22) Thanasut Vudthivichai (โฆษก announcer นักพากย์): Love it. I have paid for the premium version to support the developer.
- (2024-11-18) Nick Kurkurin: 5 min everything alright! If something go wrong, I write about it.
- (2024-11-14) Ross Balmer: I love this, it's certainly the best bookmark sidebar for Chrome I've found and I've looked at a lot. There is one feature I would love though, and that would be if there was the option to have two sidebars open, one at each side, so I can have my reading list open on one side, bookmarks open on the other side, and the current web page in the center. With a widescreen monitor like mine this configuration would be the best! Many thanks for your excellent work.
- (2024-11-10) Van Ferguson: This extension is a bit of a mess. There is always a random folder's contents being listed in the root bookmarks folder. Why?
- (2024-11-07) Isaac Andrade: Looks great and works well. I'm on Brave browser and can't re-order/drap-drop anything for some reason.
- (2024-10-28) Phil May: if it didnt constantly request access to read site data even when i tell it not to, id rate it 5 stars. there is absolutely no reason at all for the extension to need permission to read and change data on a page to manage bookmarks, and not being able to completely disable that is very concerning. you can only choose specific pages that it can do that, all pages or on click, but it will never ever stop attempting to access data on website pages. yes that means this extension sees the porn you see. it means it sees your bank account info when you access your inline banking etc. absolutely completely unnecessary just to manage bookmarks and if any feature actually needs this just be transparent and tell people in a popup what they gain or lose by disabling it.
- (2024-10-02) Altin: Fantastic extension! Makes my workspace on chrome so much more clean and organized.
- (2024-09-20) LastManStandingUK: A Must-Have Extension! This Chrome extension has a sleek and intuitive interface. The ability to rearrange my bookmark folders effortlessly is a game-changer, and the search function is outstanding—it’s easily the best feature. This is by far the best Chrome extension I've installed in a while. Highly recommended! Thank you!
- (2024-09-04) Lindsey Howard: Finally! A Bookmarks manager that is intuitive, beautiful and great to use! I absolutely love the smooth UI. Keep up the GREAT work!
- (2024-08-14) Ashley Rose: Amazing for Arc, but I do not like how it opens its own new tab screen, when I do not want it too
- (2024-08-06) valeriu trofim: Only because of this extension I can't move to Firefox browser, it's a game changer. Chrome manifest v3 Suck big time.
- (2024-07-31) Kova Rniy: Sidebar not getting out over mouse no matter what configs I change...
- (2024-07-25) Antonio Lamberti: As of 25/07/24, it causes Brave to crash immediately.
- (2024-07-20) Quốc Trọng Đỗ: Simple! Easy to use. Good!
- (2024-07-13) Sami Gllogjani: Initially got this for Arc browser which lacks an easy way of maintaining bookmarks, but i'm so happy with it that I would recommend it for any browser. It adds a number of useful features to the bookmark management experience.
- (2024-07-05) Palak Agarwal: The product is undoubtedly nice but I don't understand the use of it when google has already provided us with the bookmark section that too which is so easily feasible. Plus the 'keyboard shortcuts' screen is not working comfortably, kindly have a look on that.
- (2024-06-25) Retchel T.: Very useful indeed. Thanks for sharing this.
- (2024-06-05) Bijendra Singh: Thanks for providing such a nice product.
- (2024-05-23) Forlandos Jordan: One of my favorites someone told me about it. I'm glad they did
- (2024-05-16) cirat megriche: Exactly what I was looking for. Simple and efficient
- (2024-05-02) Marcus S: Great plugin! But the absolute best experience was when it was possible to view the extension in the standard Chrome Side Panel! Unfortunately, Google just removed the great Side Panel feature and replaced it with a Pin Only alternative for standard Chrome features. Will it be possible for Bookmark Sidebar to utilize this pin-functionality, to get a similar behaviour as when hosted in the former Side Panel? If so, that would be great! It's really unfortunate that the Google Dev Team constantly make crazy design decisions that only makes the browser less functional. I mean, not being able to show bookmarks in the order that they are actually configured in the bookmark menu is completly incomprehensible!
- (2024-04-26) Yodi Satriani: Great, almost everything works as expected. But one thing, if only we can sort files only, without affecting the order of folders, it would be excellent.
- (2024-04-12) Юрий Валанкин: It feels like its build just for me. I feel relieved every time i declutter my tabs and save all gems to favourits. Huge respect to developers!
- (2024-04-10) Primary: White screen issue with Dark Reader Extension Default settings please fix it when hovering to bookmark sidebar
- (2024-03-20) cooksad: This is just what I needed to make handling my tabs and bookmarks more efficient. Thanks for creating this extension.
- (2024-03-15) Arsen Gadzhikurbanov: Just started using it and generally liking it. Unfortunately it cannot keep opened bookmark sidebar permanently opened on the left (currently it can be opened only to the right of the main site). Hope it is possible UPD: It is possible to show the sidebar on the left of the main screen - just go to the browser settings and change the default location of the sidebar accordingly
- (2024-02-27) Remo Con: doesnt work after browser relaunch, either "something has blocked side panel we opened a new tab with it instead", either requires to click on a extension icon manually, and after that it replaces default side panel. also, no visible (color) difference between folders and tabs like its done in the default panel.
- (2024-02-08) Pranav Iyer: Perfect. Switched from Edge and really miss that sidebar. This isn't quite the same thing but I'm really happy with the level of customization offered. Thanks for the hard work on this!
- (2024-02-07) wiphone wu: a very nice plug-in
- (2024-01-30) fartwhif: Was incredible until i started getting STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION error pages on some websites, found out that disabling this extension fixed it. Would have given it a 5 star but I don't think the author has been testing properly before pushing out updates. It's a shame because the Edge bookmarks popup is a total sham and this actually did the business until it started causing instability a few days ago. It could have been ms or google itself "pulling the rug out" in which case not the author's fault, but I have no choice but to assume. There's no flipping way to communicate with the author THANKS GOOGLE 👎
- (2024-01-25) Tor: Great. A bit too sluggish still. It needs to be able to have a bookmark pane on the left side that will push the website content to the right of it.
