- Currently broken. Disabled your browser's internet connection to everything
- Unimpressed Alchemist
- The worst service I have ever paid money for. Simply doesn't work. I would rather risk getting sued by by ISP than ever gibe another cent to this service. Even when it did work, it wasn't too great.
- Gobinda Tamang
- Worthless. Keeps disconnecting and most servers fail to connect at all despite showing as 'connected' in the extension.
- LGO Gacor
- My favorite VPN extension.
- Adelani prince
- why is it asking for username and password and i am adding and it is not approving it and it is correct
- Bartosz Kubek
- This extension force redirects all my HTTP addresses I put into Chrome browser, into HTTPS ones. I see no way of turning this behaviour off

- extension is not working
- Evgeny Kuntsevich
- Hey, PIA. Are you reading reviews here? I bought VPN and when I'm using this extension my sessions are being disconnected 5-10 times per day without any reasons. Free VPN extensions don't have such issues. Are you ok with such behaviour? Could this extension work as laptop application which don't have such issues???
- Ahmad Ignite 2026
- I had high hopes for Private Internet Access, but it’s been a letdown. The app constantly disconnects and slows down my internet speed, making it almost unusable. The interface feels outdated, and customer support is slow to respond with unhelpful copy-and-paste answers. For a service that claims to focus on privacy and reliability, it’s been nothing but frustration. Definitely not worth the subscription fee.

- Worst vpn ever I don't recommend. when you connect to the UK you get Denmark. Waste of money, time and effort. Useless both desktop app and extension.
- Glenn Darwis
- Literally the worst reliability when it comes to connectivity. Just drops connections regularly and frequently and at the most inconvenient times. Split tunneling on the native app doesn't work too well on MacOS so sometimes I need to go granular with the VPN. But this extension isn't it. Total garbage.
- Aleksanteri Nikkanen
- 80% of servers are broken, they can be connected to but they dont load any sites.
- Jean-Pierre Duponsel
- Unfortunately, the same problem occurs every night where the Paris server becomes unavailable after few minutes of viewing. I was told that the techs were resolving it 2 months ago, nothing has changed. Great pity, I have no other use for it.
- Jonathan Morley
- Should change their initials from PIA to PITA (pain in the a$$). This retarted extension keeps working on domains that I have set to "bypass". It constantly wants me to log back in for no good reason. It's more of a headache than it is worth. What the @!#$ am I paying these idiots for. Why can't their desktop software include an option in the split-tunnel for domain names instead of just IP address? Seriously, get your act together!
- Robin Katz
- Horrible customer service. Application is not user friendly.
- kaya sakongsa
- very limited country even on paid version
- Deborah Awosika
- Good,it works perfectly but kindly increase the locations. It is limited on extension compared to the app
- Hugo Moors
- Top extension, top service
- Roger Albin
- It doesn't appear that PIA has a GUI interface for the install and setup of the PIA app for the HP Chromebook. So far all they seem to be able to provide is an coded app of many pages of coding to install on the HP Chromebook. And... they keep trying to get me to install the Android app version to a Linux based Chromebook. Guess my only option is to go to NordVPN...
- Alessandro Blue
- 99% of the time it disconnects after 30 sec-1minute and you appear offline so it's useless and it's a pain to use
- Alan Johnston
- It works great!
- Bruce Lee
- I've been using this VPN for years, always satisfied, easy setup and userfriendly. sometimes connection gets lost but when you switch to another server it usually resolves the issue. very cheap when you take the 3 year subscription. i use it on every device i have. As far as i know they don't keep logs, you can setup a subscription anonymously and pay with even crypto. very important if you respect you're privacy.

- The service is pretty much unusable recently, I connect to Tokyo and face ERR_PROXY_CONNECTION_FAILED errors. Sometimes switching to another country will work but that doesn't help me become Japanese.
- Marko Mõisa
- For some reason, it disconnects at any time. Rather not recommended
- Adrian S
- When it's on, some sites don't work, but the biggest problem is that it's missing all of Latin American countries.
- Shedrack Eze
- Excellent VPN, I love it!
- Arun Chitnis
- I haven't had any complaints over all the years I've been using PIA. It does everything I need it to and works across all my devices. I've tried others but didn't like them as much as this one. As far as I'm concerned, it's the best
- Dennis Faas
- The browser extension constantly disconnects and has been getting worse over the last couple of weeks. I get disconnected about 5+ times in 15 minutes. It is completely unusable. On top of that it keeps asking me for a login and password every time it disconnects even though I told it to remember me when I initially installed it. FIX IT PLEASE.
- POLL ENTERTAINMENT
- so use full vpn ever... thanks PIA team..
- Serg
- The VPN itself works well and is generally stable when used with OpenVPN or the dedicated application. However, the browser extension is highly problematic. It logs out randomly, offers far fewer server options, and has a critical flaw that makes it unusable for me. When the extension is enabled in Microsoft Edge or Chrome, the browser automatically redirects all HTTP sites to HTTPS. This behavior prevents me from accessing essential home devices like my UPS, VOIP adapter, router, and others, as they don't support HTTPS connections. Please address this issue to make the extension functional in such scenarios.
- Brandt Stones
- strong and reliable vpn, really love it!!
- Dominic Steavu
- Been using for 10+ years. Works perfectly. Appreciate the unlimited device feature. Very awesome. Thank you PIA!
- Rafer Warne
- I have to manually turn the VPN on every time I turn on the computer. Why is there no setting to have it turn on on startup like there is on the Android app? This seems like a huge oversight to me. There is also a pop up that frequently pops up asking me to log in to the individual servers. I do not understand why this occurs, the extension already has my login information. Please fix these issues.

- I like it.

- Eduard David ademian
- I was disappointed because the message too many login attempts always appeared. even though I correctly entered the username and password. I have 5 accounts also experiencing the same thing. after I waited 2500 seconds. When I tried to log in again it came back and I had to wait 1300 seconds, this VPN is really bad. changes must be made immediately. I request that PIA remove this notification feature immediately.

- please come back
- Bon Vivant
- Same problem as all the others here, Doesn't work. Constantly logs itself out and has a repetitive login pop-up again and again. Works only for browsing static sites.
- Panagiotis Papadopoulos
- Works perfectly, east and fast connetion, reliable too. Lots of server/countries options.
- test test
- Bad, constantly getting disconnected.
- Charline Regolina
- This was great, but it seems to no longer stay connected reliably. If they are going to have such terrible reliability, they could at least implement an in-browser kill switch that would stop network access if it is not connected to their VPN. This is so upsetting!!!!
- Alex Hernandez
- Love this service and have been using it for many years. Unfortunately I started having trouble with this plugin when it got upgraded to V4. It no longer automatically connects when I start the browser like it used to. Also, as others have mentioned it will indicate a dropped connection at random times (orange icon), however if I open the extension most of the time it will still show as being connected and switch the icon back to green.
- Legened1000
