Markdown Here e-maillerinizi Markdown ile yazmanızı sağlar, göndermeden önce daha zarıf kılar.
E-mail yazarken bir çok format düğmesiyle uğraşmak istemeyenler için idealdir. Özellikle e-maillerde kod da yazmak isteyen programcılar için yararlıdır-sözdizimi vurgulamasını bile destekler. Ve aramızdaki matematikçiler için: Markdown Here, Tex formüllerini de kılar.
Kullanımı çok basittir:
1. Posta istemcinizin gelişmiş metin editöründe, Github-aromalı Markdown kullanarak email yazın.
2. Yazı alanında sağ tuşlayarak "Markdown Toggle" seçiniz.
3. E-mailiniz şimdi çok zarif olmuşdur! (Yani, HTML'e kılınmışdır.)
4. Göründüğü şekli beğendiyseniz, gönderebilirsiniz. Bir şey eklemek veya değiştirmek isterseniz, orijinal Markdownunuza geri dönmek için "Markdown Toggle"'a geri basınız.
5. Sonucu begenmez iseniz, tekrar edin.
Markdown Here öncelikle Gmail ve Thunderbird ile çalışması hedeflenmişdir, ama Yahoo ve Hotmail ile de oldukça iyi çalışır. Ayrıca, Google Groups ve Sites, Evernote'un web arayüzü, Blogger, Wordpress ve başkaları ile de çalışır!
Sözdizimi vurgu notu: Tirnak isareti (`) ile çevirilmiş kod blokları kullanın ve dil ismini belirtin. Örnek için proje sayfasına bakın.
Gizlilik: "Markdown Here" aktif edildiginde; web icerigine erişebilir ve degistirilebilir. Teorik olarak, diger web içeriğinize de erişebilir, ama bunu yapmaz. O ayrica herhangi bir internet servisi istedigi yapmaz, ne olursa olsun. Sizin veriniz istediginiz zaman ve istediginiz alanda modifiye edilir, ve internet gezgininizi terk etmez.
Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera, ve Thunderbird eklentisi olarak kullanilabilir.

Brilliant! Exactly what I wanted. Lets me copy markdown into Gmail to send with half decent formatting.

This is great! I wanted to copy markdown into Gmail, but OMG, formatting is horrible and annoying. I installed the chrome extension, refreshed gmail, selected the text and clicked Markdown Here. Magic!

Installed two years ago, works on gmail, does the job
Does it still work with LaTeX for including mathematical formulas in email? I tried and failed. A review for Firefox version says no. I need to write math in email. Of course currently I can use "TeX for Gmail" to do it. But it "Markdown Here" dose still work.

Amazing. And yes, it does work on Gmail. After you install the extension, refresh the Gmail page before using the extension.
Not sure why some are claiming it doesn't work in gmail -- it works great, I've been using it every day for some years now. If it's not working, refresh the gmail compose window/tab. (This only needs to be done if you just installed the extension for the first time in another browser window/tab.)

Where has this been all my life! Works great in Outlook 365. For those reporting it taking up CPU processing power... I think that's changed. However chrome also allows the following workaround. Change "Site access" to "On click" in Chrome's Manage Exentions -> Markdown Here -> Details. I then use right click -> Markdown Toggle over selected text in the text box to convert to markdown. Takes 41mb of RAM and 0.1 CPU.

used to work, but not anymore. From the changelog, last change was 2015, so it seem gmail broke support since that date and the dev abandoned the extension

I liked it a lot. However, toggling moves the pointer to the beginning of the message, and therefore, it becomes annoying to switch back and forth between edition and preview.

Sadly this extension stopped working in gmail quite some time ago, and has not recovered ever for me. Reporting a bug on the github site gives me assurances that I should just reinstall and all will work again, but that is simply not the case. What to do?
