- (2025-06-12) Armando: The free tier has a hard limit that makes it barely useable.
- (2025-05-16) S T: Update Review: And why are there no short cuts? Only right mouse click does not really allow to fluently highlight in long text.. Would highly appreciate a response from the developer.. If this would all work, I'd go for it and pay.. Highlighting works, also in Gmail, but in the list, where all highlights are stored, there is no reference link, back to the place where the highlight comes from. Why? (Also have Simple Gmail Notes installed, a little note field above every email. If I copy paste some text I would like to highlight in there, it always gives me the option to browse all sources where my highlights came from. Problem is only works in Gmail and I have to copy paste instead of highlighting.. )
- (2025-04-02) John: It's not working at all.
- (2025-03-27) Ignacio Crespo: Good tool, it does what it says, only one issue, I see borders in the highlighted words, makes it a bit annoying when many words are highlighted
- (2025-03-12) Aaron Lintz: only issue I have is when using LinkedIn, it causes bizarre and funny doubling of the highlighted terms. Happy to share screenshots with team.
- (2025-02-17) Sagor Ali: Love it 💕❤️💕

- (2025-02-08) John Staples: Unlike others! This one works great with Brave browser.
- (2025-02-05) Extropian Transhumanism Transcend: doesn't do anything and it also needs a subscription
- (2025-01-27) Koda Gallegos: (UPDATED) I paid for this service months ago and it is asking for a product key, which I never received. It took posting a negative review to get a response, but once the developer got the memo, they quickly fixed the issue, and have stated that they will be implementing other options for getting in touch with the developer when these kind of issues happen. For my inconvenience, I was also granted an extension on my license, which is much appreciated. The truth is, this app works VERY WELL, and having the paid version allows me to make and use highlight lists with HUNDREDS of keywords on them. This tool makes my job easier, and I love the customization options. I'm now giving it the five-star rating the application itself deserves. For users, experiencing issues (it is unclear, so I'll let you all know what I didn't): You can use the Report Bug option from the extension to contact the developer instead of leaving a post on the report-by-post feature or leaving a review. I had assumed the option was only for reporting bugs in the application, but it can be used to reach out for issues with subscriptions, as well.
- (2025-01-18) Sonia Rouleau: i LOVE this extension! We had a problem with it early 2025: despite paying the renewal i had not been able to receive the license key right away, however, they contacted me and fixed the issue within a few days and even refunded my double subscription within a 2 days! I am grateful because this extension is THE BEST highlighting tool: it works great, you can create an unlimited number of lists and new words to highlight, etc. too many good sides to list them all. Thank you for your help and support Wim!
- (2025-01-06) Benjamin Lee: I installed it on my chrome OS device, but it doesn't work. Is there any solution?
- (2024-11-27) Greg Zielinski: I've played with a few different highlighter extensions. This one seems to exceed them by far. Right click addition is perfect, it runs really fast with HUNDREDS of highlights. Now, if only I could add some text as well. Highlight Yellow, Text Red, Superscript text "170 max buy".
- (2024-11-15) drawing me me: Works perfectly, Basic but still nice.
- (2024-11-03) Hany Aloum: Good alternative for Multi-highlight plugin since it had no support for over 2 years. Edit: 5/5 but please update firefox version so we can import/export our backups

- (2024-10-28) Daniel Christoffer: took a while to get the google spreadsheet connected but now works like a dream. google scripts and daily triggers keeps the list always up to date. fantastic tool. only downside is the lack of support here, not really present, so had to figure out myself. All in all, great tool for your daily business.
- (2024-10-23) IxI: This extension is excellent and works perfectly. It allows tons of customization as well.
- (2024-10-18) Stuart Warren: It costs something in Euros? What's that in US Dollars?
- (2024-10-03) People Time Podcast: Love this extension. Out of all the similar Highlighting extensions, this one is the best. The only thing that could make it better is if it was possible to add notes to specific words/phrases, so that when you see a highlighted word on a page, you could hover over it and have a box drop down and display your own note that is associated with that highlighted word/phrase. That's probably asking a lot, but it would be so useful.
- (2024-09-26) Colla: not work
- (2024-09-24) Chetan Lodha: Really helpful, thank you so much developer
- (2024-09-20) hossam ahmad: I like the extension very much, here some suggestions: - In the Style Tab: if Possible to add highlight text size. - In the Action Tab: If Possible to add when clicking a highlight like note, when there is a note to be notification in order to click on it - if the extension to be used within certain group. admin account and guest account
- (2024-09-16) Matias Barboza: This extension is awesome
- (2024-08-26) Jeremy Csongedi: It does what I need 99% of the time.
- (2024-08-05) Claudio Canales Vicencio: I'd buy this extension if it gets fixed for pump.fun
- (2024-08-05) Marie Joy Maderazo: This extension is so usefull on my daily SEO task. Highly recommeded in spot checking keywords and anchor text.
- (2024-07-10) Ha Nguyen: so far so good, thank you Developer.
- (2024-06-13) Patrik Lindqvist: After evaluating this I find it really good and would had gone premium if it was not that markup words needs to be 3 characters or longer. I am searching for special combinations of 2 characters, thus it won't mark up the match.
- (2024-06-11) DL17: Original review (Aug 2022): I would give this a higher rating, but there's been a recurring issue of words disappearing from a list. All lists are set to sync so it's not due to changing computers. This issue is making me consider using another extension. I really like this extension and its functionality but the disappearing words is making this too unreliable. Dec 2023 Update: I still enjoy using this extension and find it very helpful, but the disappearing words is still an ongoing issue. The workaround is to backup frequently so you can revert but ideally this bug could be fixed. June 2024 Update: I contacted the developer regarding disappearing words and he was able to find the root cause of the issue and it was fixed in a later update. One outstanding issue is using this on LinkedIn Jobs. When viewing jobs, the title of the job postings you look at seem to merge with the title of the previous postings you viewed. For example, if you view a job with the title "Senior Analyst" and then view one called "Marketing Associate", this marketing posting will display as something like "Marketing Associate Senior Analyst". The titles get clumped together for some reason.

- (2024-05-15) Lucas Thievenaz: Really helpful when dealing with high volume data, forms and sheets for fast pace work. Simple to get up and running. Only issue I found with it is that it can lead to malformed data showing on the page (specifically when highlighting numbers). I'm not sure why but would presume it finds something on the client which shouldn't be visible and highlights it. Realistically this should be pretty rare and not impact the experience much unless you're a very special case. You can quickly disable/re-enable the extension anyway.
- (2024-05-13) John Mitchell: This is *required* for job searching. I'm easily 10x faster and it's much less stressful. I'm paying for Highlight This and love it! <3
- (2024-05-13) TheAweDude: 200 word limit (unless you pay) makes it essentially worthless.
- (2024-03-20) Christian J: Amazing! I initially used this in highlighting key phrases on my work dashboard to flag urgent items, but I just kept using it for more and more items. It was a really big improvement and a game-changer with my computer quality of life- it was kinda like working with a second monitor for the first time. It helps me catch that wayward semi colon that screws everything up. I ran into an issue early on, and the developer was very quick and helpful. I ended up recommending this product to my company.
- (2024-03-17) Ajay Varghese: Your admin has blocked this item (ID: fgmbnmjmbjenlhbefngfibmjkpbcljaj) Im not able to turn this on anymore ? Ive saved all my keywords in it ?
- (2024-03-06) Colby Patrie: Doesn't actually highlight anything. Just copies and pastes sentences you had your cursor highlight into a notes section.
- (2024-03-03) Jennifer Castillo: Hello, I have this message Your admin has blocked this item (ID: fgmbnmjmbjenlhbefngfibmjkpbcljaj), does this mean that it will not be available anymore? this is very useful, so it would be great if there is a way to have it working again.
- (2024-02-29) vanessa camps: I can no longer import my highlighter backup, it sends me to a white page with a "upload File" and when i do the page remains de exact same without loading.
- (2024-02-18) milet: wish one day we could use the Alipay to subscribe it
- (2024-02-14) Jesse Zabkar: Used it for months and loved it, but for the most part it's stopped working. Would happily give 4/5 stars if it worked more consistently.
- (2024-02-08) Christopher Mendoza: Worked great for a while, but now it doesn't work on Chrome. I use it everyday and now have to use it on Edge web browser
- (2024-02-05) Yipka Darki: Bought licence key because this is the best Extension that I saw from dozens! There was some delay with receiving my licence key, but I received it the same day directly from admin to my email! After it we talked with the admin and I asked to make new highlights in INPUT FIELDS! And Wim made it, incredible! Now I'm a happy fan of HighlightThis Extension!
- (2024-01-20) Company Name: Beautiful update!!! I liked the function and now the new UI makes it more appealing to eye. Thank you
- (2023-12-31) Adrian Head: Used to be great but now I constantly get unresponsive pages.
- (2023-12-05) 1900 Half: In Setting-General, write a certain URL (also using wildcards), hoping to disable all highlighting on this web page, but the result is that the web page will still be highlighted. If you write and change the URLs one by one in the detailed settings of each highlighted item, you can disable highlighting. However, there are more than 10 highlighted lists in my list, and it is troublesome to click and set them one by one. I hope the developers can improve the setting function of globally disabling highlighting on a certain web page.
- (2023-11-22) Шлёма Могилёвский: i created 3 words in the list when i open a page, the icon shows 3 words detected but it highlights only the 1st word from the list, word #2 & #3 from the list are not highlighted and if i switch !1 word and #3 word, or #1 and #2 the word that now takes place as #1 word is now highlighted, and #2 and #3 loses the highlight despite being highlted 2 seconds ago as #1 word. what a drama
