• (2024-01-04) Vadrif Draco: This extension is great and works flawlessly and as expected! I just wish it supported a blacklist mode instead of the whitelist one, with each rule or entry in the blacklist customizable in terms of what to be blocked on that webpage... That would've been more convenient imo, but nonetheless, it does the job! Update: It keeps failing to work every now and then, and I believe its developer updates it to make it work again afterwards or something.. But it just is not reliable 24/7, unfortunately. A waste of great potential. :(

• (2023-04-24) Elvin Aslanov: Great! Chrome can disable images, but not videos, unfortunately. This extension does that as well in its MEDIA tab. Dark mode is the only thing I noticed lacking, please consider adding that as well for the eyes.

You have zero way of knowing if the you're blocking or not (ie. features are active or not). I would give this zero stars if I could.

• (2020-12-25) Google User: It works, but....it's totally unnecessarily complicated and not user friendly. One should be able to block an object, media or whatever from the context menu (right click). You have no idea if you've enabled any of the restrictions. All you can see your whitelist (if you set it up). Would it be so difficult to create an option to see exactly what you blocked? My guess is some Android/Linux fanboy created this extension because they get aroused by over-complicating even the most basic, simplest things. Let's hope someone creates a similar extension that isn't so difficult to use.
• (2020-12-19) Complaint Department: Didn't work for me. Also it's absurd how things are layed out. How do you know if you've activated a particular block? For example, I want to block "java" (doesn't work btw) but I have no idea if it's active or not. Ditto with the other options like blocking "media", "image", "object" and more. Sure you have a number being posted but that doesn't mean much especially if nothing is being blocked. I verified with other applications and manually disabled java script via Chrome browser to verify what happens when I block "this or that". This app is a fail.
• (2020-12-02) Nitant Soni: Absolutely perfect! Blocks ALL the videos, completely. Even if you click play, they will not play, which is absolutely amazing. So sick and tired of this video fad. Not only do sites slow down to a crawl, they also waste massive amounts of data.
• (2020-10-26) Super. But would even better if it would contain a blocking shedule like the other website blockers have. It would be great if the blocking could stop every evening when I am done working. But this is still the best blocker available anyway.

• (2019-08-08) SU Legato: The JavaScript Block is great for annoying news sites. Sadly, Sites can be Whitelisted but not Blacklisted, making it cumbersome to use. Turning on, activates for the entire browser, not just the current tab. Would prefer Blacklisting Sites.

• (2018-10-17) Richard Remer: Does not work as advertised. It's not blocking anything and the documentation says there are no settings to configure.
• (2018-07-31) Owen Gray: Works excellently, often blocking ads when adblock and similar fail. Also speeds up browser significantly, and reduces memory. Unfortunately, the new whitelist feature does not work very well. You cannot add sites except by adding the current site, which does not work very well: When you click "add to whitelist" it uses the window you first opened in this browsing session, not the website open in the current window. This can make it extremely hard to populate the whitelist.

• (2018-06-30) Giving 4 stars, as it does block the annoying autoplay videos that constantly pop up on the net these days and make your CPU whine like a pig. Agree with others that we need a whitelist to play videos on those sites without having to go into the settings and turn on/off.
• (2018-06-06) Prembil: Had a page where I couldn't copy nor right click... When disabled javascript it said I have to re-enable it... This sorted out all my problems by just one click, great job!

• (2017-12-21) win teer: Does a good jobs and speeds up pages with annoying Ad- and media content (in some cases it renders those pages from being ususuable at all) BUT you have to alter settings manually for each page. This addon would be much more useful if it remembers the settings for each page or whole domains.

• (2017-04-21) Jason Burke: It is the only add-on I foundthat would stop videos automatically playing on sites. I do wish it had a blacklist option so I could then choose which sites it would work on. Most sites are fine there are only a few that autoplay videos.
