Display quick description of the terms in the Wikipedia article.
A simple extension that makes reading Wikipedia articles more convenient.
When reading how often do you have to open an additional cross-article just to glimpse quickly at the meaning of a term you do not know?
Now with Wikipedia Quick Hints getting definitions of unknown terms has become as simple as just hovering the cursor over a respective link. The definition pops up automatically. Images zooming is another useful feature of the extension.
See screenshots for example.

*** ATTENTION ***
Due to the changes Wikepedia developers made to the structure of the articles WikipediaQuickHints had a lot of problems with getting correct definition and hence in most cases poped up useless "Can not get definition for this term ..." message. Please report the problems so that I could fix problematic places.
Thank you for using it! :)

- (2022-01-25) Farley X Wilbur: I like the extension except for the small question mark under every highlighted word or phrase in the Wikipedia article. Just underline the word (which it does) and skip the question mark. All the subscript question marks on the page disrupt the flow of reading the article needlessly. We all get it, we know how to use the extension.

- (2018-06-01) Funto Komolafe (Funtø): Amazing, I forgot I even had the extension until I recently got used a different browser. I thought wikipedia did the pop-ups by itself. But apparently, it's this extension. So useful. Thanks for making my life easier.
- (2018-05-02) Nick Pappas: Great and extremely useful extension. IMO beats the built-in functionality in wikipedia. It does have some issues like buggy behavior when you have too many pop ups inside pop ups (by too many I mean like 3 or more)and some slight issues with pop ups not closing properly but overall it is a 4 to 5 stars extension.
- (2018-01-24) Relax: Exactly what i want, thank you developer with this useful idea, Wikipedia is full of endless amount of links, it makes thing easier for many people.

- (2017-06-18) N. Casey Gilliam: Does exactly what you want it to do. I have not found any cons to this extension. I Wikipedia everyday and this extension is a must have. Update: This extension no longer shows proper introduction paragraphs and only displays the image. It says the articles do not have the proper format. I'd love if this were updated to fix this. This is one of my favorite extensions and I'd like it to work again.
- (2017-06-11) Ivan MeL: Now get in hints every time the message "Some articles do not have appropriate structure", before it has been worked very well.

- (2016-09-30) Msso Bmssk (bmsskmsso): I like this app
- (2016-07-20) Gianni Gaudio: question marks under all wikipedia's iperlink are annoying. some items like the wikipedia's logo in the pages are hidden
- (2016-04-19) Francesco Passaro: Praktisch. Gibt es vergleichbare Erweiterungen?

- (2015-12-10) Phil Ricketts: Good extension, but buggy. I often have to click around sometimes to get rid of the popup.
- (2015-11-01) Nice idea but there are problems: 1. Bad design 2. Very small text 3. Takes a bit of time to close even when I move my cursor 4. Those question marks
- (2015-07-29) Scott McMasters: I like it and it's what I want, but the text is way too small. They need a better design.
- (2015-05-03) Recommended extension, but it breaks the wikipedia logo at the top left.
- (2015-04-20) Pruthviraj A: Excellent extension. Everything at a glance.
- (2015-04-09) Marco Lonardi: I find my self check Wikipedia so often that i need a quick link to W. This extension with a click job done 90% of the times.
- (2015-04-04) Jonathan Bean: This changes everything. Information galore. I don't need to open every term that I need to know to understand an article now.
- (2015-01-15) James Miller: This is a fine feature, but it is a little slow to respond and hangs up, sometimes not closing for several minutes after the cursor has moved off of a word. I will probably uninstall and use the 'right-click' extension instead, but if you don't like the 'right-click' this is a perfectly good alternative.
- (2014-11-06) Marek: Great extension, and more reliable for me than wikipedia's own beta feature with similar functionality. The only problem I had with it was the little question marks, which I've found reading other reviews here are easily removable (click the extension icon the in the URL bar when viewing a wikipedia article, then click the gear icon in the pop-up box that appears). I only wish that the ability to access the options was more apparent (i.e. right clicking on the icon extension and simply selecting "options", which seems to be the standard approach). In any event, a great extension.
