Это действительно по настоящему работающее расширение, которое позволяет не закрывать браузер после закрытия последней вкладки. В отличии от иных решений, которые тупо держит +одну вкладку в фоне. А это расширение делает тоже самое, что и в иных браузерах, где такая функция встроена изначально.
Конечно, штука не идеальная, но теперь без неё жить не могу. То, что надо! Спасибо!

I liked this until I discovered that, in my Linux system, it delayed the opening of Chrome by 5 seconds!

If you only want to remove delay between the moment when you click Chrome's icon and the moment when it opens a new window, then you may simply make Chrome continue running even after all its windows are closed. Okay ! this extension definitely works and it works great. The only condition is: You must not have unchecked "Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed" I'm running Chrome Version 26.0.1410.63 on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and I found this one works even better than others.

When closing the last tab, the window disappears and then appears again without preserving the geometry (changes size); closing the browser triggers an error.
