- (2023-12-02) Filip: Small update: They fixed the issue, and the extenion works flawlessly. It took a month to do this, but it paid off. Heinous! The service is always slow and constantly crashes. When I open the sidebar, I must log in every time to use it. Sometimes, the extension will refuse to connect to the server, forcing me to reload the tab. It sometimes adds unnecessary spaces between sentences or removes punctuation, creating run-on sentences. It is a good grammar checker and a tutor, but this hot mess gave me a reason to disable it and switch to the web client. I wish the developers could fix this. It has been almost a month since I sent them a ticket about the issue. They are updating me about the matter, but I wish they could be swifter.

You can spend hours trying to make sense of the text, the correct meaning can be totally different from your expectation. Most of the time, the spellings are incorrect, and even the named websites or apps for Google search give little results. The saving grace is the help from AI, improving productivity on time and transcription effectiveness. This is really important because many publishers or creators of online course who pay little attention to vet own recorded long transcript in their courses, have no incentives beyond collecting their course fees.

If this continues to fail i will sue quillbot for false advertising and trying to accumulate consumers and get money.

- (2023-10-07) Antal Piross: It is a major issue that it does not work if the display website of the language is not set to English. It's so cumbersome and unnecessary to change the display language everywhere just because of this. In some cases, I can't even do that at all because I don't have admin rights. There, I can't use the add-in at all. This is very frustrating because it basically excludes the many non-native speakers, even though you would think that these services are most useful for them.

I have bought the Premium version and sometimes when I eject the sidebar (Chrome extension), the windows that appears from the right side of the screen it is completely grey without text in it. Quillbot doesn't show up in Google Docs. Are there steps to follow? I installed the app and restarted chrome. Open a google doc and pasted in some text to work on. Then I clicked the Quillbot icon in the top right of chrome. It gives me a little popup in the lower right of the screen saying "..doesn't work. Try another page, reload page or restart chrome". Advice? Thanks!
