YouTube Channel Whitelist for uBlock Origin

Non funziona più. Fa rilevare ublock origin a youtube.

It was good while it worked. Strangely enough this extension actually makes it so that I can't watch youtube videos anymore with their new update.

very good extension. it always updates when youtube's design changes. it also clarifies if a setting may stop revenue. quoting senator armstrong: "power is back where it belongs, in the hands of the people!"

Update the design of the button. Youtube's UI has been redesigned. Great addon. Sometimes when you switch from video on a channel that has ads allowed to a channel that doesn't, it starts playing an ad for a second and then the ad gets skipped. Not a big deal but just wanted to mention it.

Hey a few days ago the youtube channel link changes from \users= to \c\ which broke this extention

Not sure if I can give any clarifying data, but this extension seems to not work. I've whitelisted several channels and have seen no ads.

Works fine here! I know is must be complicated, but it would be amazing if the extension could open a second tab to play the video with the adds muted (maybe in low resolution to save data), so we can still watch the video in the main tab without the adds. Sometimes I do that manually to help the channels. =}

Great idea, but despite it changing the URL like it should, it still skips through ads on channels I have whitelisted

Worked for the first few days, but then it stopped detecting advertisers even when watching videos. Very disappointing. I really want to support the channels I'm subbed to, but this extension needs more work before I can recommend it to anyone else.

Brilliant, cheers I did see a suggestion asking for the ability to toggle the short ads on (5-6 secs) but still block the longer 30 sec ads, would this be possible? Anyway, as is works perfectly :)

Funciona como deveria, eu tava tendo problemas com o meu adblock permitir anúncios mesmo eu não tendo permitido, então quando eu mudei para o ublock origin ele não tinha a configuração para permitir anúncios em canais que eu me escrevi, mas graças a essa extensão eu posso fazer isso.

It does work perfectly fine. You have to add the magic line to uBlock's "TRUSTED SITES" section, make sure you have added it there instead of "My rules" or "My filters". Frequently updated code guarantees that the extension works even in case of YouTube changes. All those comments saying it's not working are caused either by the above mistake or by a temporary misfunctions caused by YouTube update that are taken care of continuously (once the devs notice it or get noticed about).

Does this extension only block ads from the white listed channels or it completely blocks all other videos on you tube except the whitelisted ones?....like I need an extension which blocks all other videos on you tube except the ones I select. Pls answer me? If it can do so too then please give step by step instructions...

Updated: Allot of people are having issues keeping ublock working as it disables itself if you put in the below. *youtube.com/*&disableadblock=1 HOWEVER if you put in the below it appears to work, you can turn off the whitelist warning in this extensions options. *youtube.com/*&disableadblock=1* (notice a * at the end, that is only change, and ublock will disable/enable correctly depending on url whereas before it would disable and hash out this line)

The extension works flawlessly, big thanks to the devs. Whoever is complaining that it doesn't or that it causes bugs must have not added the line *youtube.com/*&disableadblock=1 to uBlock Origin whitelist.

This is a scam isn't it? All those comments writing in caps how it works, doesn't work at all or VERY sporadically. (actually worked once on a single video)

NO IDEA why this has good reviews. All it does in like enable ads on all videos. Sometimes the ad goes for like a few seconds then auto-skips to the actual video (on channels ads are NOT enabled on). You have to refresh the page to make the ads actually work. You have to refresh to make ads go away on channels it's disabled on. I think. I don't know. It's not consistent AT ALL and just sucks. So much. Doesn't do as advertised at all. I hate it. Die. Bye.

Works perfectly well on Vivaldi with uBlock. It also looks freaking gorgeous.

MUST HAVE for ethically blocking ads on youtube 10/10 seriously underrated

Been using this extension for a few months now & it has worked flawlessly. Over the past couple of weeks I noticed an issue where the "Skip Ad" button that would show up after 5 seconds disappeared. Went to the Github page & filed an issue. Worked through some things with x0a & in 48 hours we got the 0.9.8 release that has fixed that old issue. Developer is awesome for sure, and I like being able to support YouTuber's I follow while blocking out people who do like 100 ads a minute on their videos that I may watch for a few minutes. Thanks for this extension!

Amazing, very useful

The only app/script/etc. that I'm aware of which ACTUALLY allows you to whitelist YouTube channels if you're using uBlock Origin. My one complaint is that I would like to be able to add channels to my whitelist through the extension, rather then having to do so on a channel/video. You can remove channels from your whitelist within the extension, and import/export, but you can't just type the name of a channel and add it to your list. I would appreciate that option, but overall, the extension still gets the job done, and is pretty easy to use, so I definitely recommend it.
