  • (2021-01-14) kum cough: Works as described. Would like to see the tabs color retained after a browser restart or for a particular URL(as said before) and also maby add ability to add pictures so its not only colours.
  • (2020-12-20) Afirmanta: One star cause it colors, but not the tabs, It colors icons of webs that are from the website. And also stupid and useless thing is that, it colors it randomly. You can pick colors but anyway you can't mange it in anyway, it's random
  • (2020-12-05) Nadira Begum: I didn't like how it covered up the icon so I deleted it but now all my tabs are still covered up with a coloured box and isn't going away and doesn't even say in the description or the instruction how to remove it. Now all my tabs have a purple square and I don't know which is which.
  • (2020-11-26) Chase Masters: Installed. Didn't work on any tabs. Closed Chrome, relaunched. still doesn't work. 10 minutes wasted trying to troubleshoot. Removed.
  • (2020-10-31) Alexander Krasnov: Works - read instructions.
  • (2020-10-25) Jemuel Sagun: Not Working!!!
  • (2020-09-20) Ed: I am used to using "ColorfulTabs" in Sea Monkey (the true descendant of Netscape). The color selection is vastly greater, the colors themselves are much brighter (some almost glowing) compared to the flat, relatively lifeless pastels available here, the actual tab is colored, and most importantly, THEY STICK. At best, right after setting up this really doesn't even color the icons, it replaces them with a little square block of color (or maybe just covers them up, the result is the same). And at the first refresh of the page even that goes away. Do not bother installing it, IF it ever worked at some time in the past, it has not kept up with browser changes. A totally useless, waste of time. Windows 10 Pro, doubt it matters what you're running though.
  • (2020-08-25) Jeremy Hewitt: Misleading. Only changes tab icon to a color, and not the whole tab
  • (2020-08-23) Charles Magnuson: Does not work properly. First, getting this extension setup is not easy. Being required to use a keyboard shortcut to set the tab color sucks. I want to be able to click on this extension's icon and then choose the color I want to set. Second, this extension does not remember the colors I set. If my computer goes to sleep or I restart Chrome, all of the custom colors I set are gone. This extension needs major improvements.
  • (2020-08-19) Studio360 Live: Not work, on actual chrome, on windows 10 Pro
  • (2020-08-10) Kevin Hall: This is exactly what I was searching for. When you need to distinguish between multiple tabs from the same website or favicon without switching, this is very helpful.
  • (2020-08-07) Chava Ferrer: MacOS Catalina. Does not work. I tried changing the shortcuts, removing my chrome themes, restarting chrome, nothing works.
  • (2020-07-08) tarcisio silva: trahs lost time
  • (2020-07-05) eemily: it worked fine for me but its so stupid. why would it only change the icon and not the actual tab marker, so you don't even know what you're clicking on unless you've memorized the order of your tabs. at least its not false advertising because its in the web store ad, but why does this need to exist?
  • (2020-03-19) So far im using this while developing and comparing different environments (local, state, production). Its super handy to keep them grouped by colors. I will rate 4/5 stars for the fact It would be super handy if I could set URLS (etc: https:localhost:3000/*) to default to a certain colour, otherwise I have to update it often.
  • (2020-03-05) Otomatik Eposta: Perfectly working. Straight to the point. Thanky you very much.
  • (2020-02-28) Juha Pesonen: MacOS Catalina - working as expected. Thank you!
  • (2020-02-19) CoolEye Colorado: Does not really work. I have the colors changed for my D365 pages, but when the pages refresh (like a new email comes in) the page does not keep the color. APP is a waste of time. Dont download.
  • (2020-02-18) Adriana Herrera: actually it does NOT color the tab, it just changes the Favicon with colored square. And is even worst, because i dont know which tab is which website, at least with the Favicon i reconized them, now not! maybe i was asking too much and is too difficult to develop, i dont know!
  • (2020-01-28) Hashim Mehmood: Works for me on Chrome for Windows. Much thanks. (after extension installation, reload tab to use).
  • (2020-01-23) Jan Neff-Sinclair: I don't know how long I played around with this until I figured out that it was a BAIT'N'SWITCH. This extension DOES NOT color your tabs. It messes around with the favicon. In the absence of colored tabs, the only way to figure out what a tab is at a glance is to recognize it's favicon. Well, this extension erases the favicon and replaces it with a solid color. Once again, this extension DOES NOT COLOR THE TAB. The creator should change the name. It is very deceptive and I do not appreciate wasting all that time to learn that it is false advertising. SHAME ON YOU!!!
  • (2020-01-02) Phil Ringsmuth: I installed this extension, refreshed a tab and assigned a color to it. Then I refreshed the tab again and the color went away. This is useless if the color doesn't stay on the tab.
  • (2019-12-31) Srinivas: Its not working after multiple attempts and permission. macOS Mojave.
  • (2019-12-27) 012wtf EZ: doesnt work after entering shortcut, WIN 7 x64
  • (2019-12-18) Ethan M: Pretty good, but one hiccup I ran into: the tab must be at least ~40px wide to see the color preview. So if the window has many tabs open (e.g., 40), the tab widths are drastically reduced, which means I can not see the nice little color swatch in the tab handle until I navigate to another tab.
  • (2019-12-16) Dan Bliss: A good idea but the changes need to be permanent. I change pages within a website a lot and it keeps resetting. Until this changes, it's unusable.
  • (2019-12-13) Grich Nithikijputtho: Very helpful for developer with tons of reference tab
  • (2019-11-21) Linda Brown: It setup great! However, refreshing a page made the tab lose the color that was applied. This makes the extension a waste of time.
  • (2019-11-21) Michael Lawski: works but what is annoying: after each chrome update this extension pops up and shows me the tutorial..... -.-
  • (2019-11-12) Matthew Harris: It worked when I pressed the hotkey and would have been good but unfortunately the way its coded it forgets its colour when you reload the tab. As a web developer, I edit pages and regularly have multiple pages open that I copy bits in from. I also regularly get confused and edit the wrong page. To save from mistakes like this I thought that setting the tab colour would help me focus on the correct tab. Editing pages involves a lot of saving + reloading so with this plugin forgetting its settings each reload it's not a useful match for me.
  • (2019-10-17) Ron Grandia: Broken! Too bad, it seems like just what I was looking for.
  • (2019-09-13) Aldrin Morales: Works well in windows. Noobs not getting it right here. Really helps me in web design as I can specify important tabs .
  • (2019-08-03) Joanne Kim: it was so bad i pressed ctrl+shift+space BUT NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if anybody knows how to fix this please reply. but i think it only works for macs
  • (2019-08-02) Shilajit Kar: Not working in Windows
  • (2019-07-24) Rafa Castillo: nice and simple
  • (2019-07-21) Yaniv Eliash: doesn't work on my chrome's mbp
  • (2019-07-02) Darryl Reubens: It is missing something quite important, when working within a colored tab and refreshing or navigating elsewhere within the tab it will lose its color. Makes it kind of redundant, although is still useful in a more limited way. I can have my reference tabs colored, makes things a little easier.
  • (2019-06-29) City 348: Not working whatsoever!!! Stop wasting our times. Stop being mediocre!
  • (2019-06-16) Adam Borg: Simple, looks good, easy to understand, and works fine for me. Thanks for simplifying my myriad-tab lifestyle!
  • (2019-05-09) Marie Johnson: Doesn't do a darn thing! I pressed Ctrl+Shift+Space and NOTHING happens tabs are all still WHITE BACKGROUND! ALL I WANT IS A DIFFERENT BACKGROUND for the little tab NOT THE PAGE. Firefox does this! The WHITE for everything is just too hard to see which tab I'm on, at the very least I'd like the active tab a different collor!!!!
  • (2019-04-30) RON RAGAN: I would give this extension a Five Star if the developer would fix one problem and add one piece of functionality: When I close down my browser, then reopen it, Chrome requires me to do the same "colorizing" routine each time, on each one of my tabs. That's a lot of extra work. Also, it would be nice if the developers provided a way to colorize the entire tab, not just a small square on the tab. Otherwise, this extension ROCKS!!!
  • (2019-04-08) Eloy Ortiz Hernandez: I add new colors and never it work.
  • (2019-03-24) Gabi Koonings: It worked for a little bit. No matter what keys i try to use, now it won't start, ever. Cannot turn it off or on, default is off, so i can't do anything. No idea why. So it's useless as of now.
  • (2019-03-13) Jan Behrens: Works. Favicon switchable via hotkey into 1 of 5 custom colored squares. Litte use, matter of taste. Maybe useful to opt. grouping of tabs. (Default is CTRL + SHIFT + SPACE). Klappt. Favicon per Hotkey in 1 von 5 farbigen Quadraten umschaltbar. Geringer Nutzen, Geschmackssache. Evtl. nützlich zur opt. Gruppierung von Tabs. (Standardeinstellung ist STRG + UMSCHALT + LEERTASTE).
  • (2019-02-27) Christopher Adi Pascual: This is the best thing since sliced bread! Since it reads all the sites we are visiting, does it have a privacy disclaimer? Much thanks!
  • (2019-01-28) Max Faliy: the idea is nice like it allot, would be nice if a setting windows was designed , id like to refresh my tabs with out loosing the color coding for the tab- maybe implement that into a settings option. but over all helps with work managment.
  • (2018-12-28) Greg Zeng: Not working. Allows "SIMPLE SPEED DIAL" to work, unlike other similar named add-on. Running on Linux Mint, with latest Mint Linux kernel (14.50). Will not remove. It may work when running under Windows-10?
  • (2018-11-27) Alexi Grigoriadis: Did exactly what it said it would. A quality extension.
  • (2018-10-23) Cat Bird: Did not work. I set the keys, everything it told me. Still didn't work. Hate it
