Tab It Your Way allows you to customize the New Tab screen. You can choose to show a blank screen, or add your own HTML and CSS. The Extension comes with a sample configuration with links to popular websites. From the Options screen you can edit the links, or go nuts with your own content. You can include images, change the background color and font color, etc. For a plain, white screen, just delete all the HTML and CSS that's included.
