  Hello dear, First I would really thank you for this great extention which helps me to use bing and cortana search bar with chrome. but I have a problem which if google chrome was closed and I use the search it will open the results in google chrome but it will use Bing search engine after google chrome is opened any search within the windows search box it will be hit to google chrome with google search engine So the problem occurs only if chrome is closed.

  Bing recently implemented the AI in the search engine, I'd like to whitelist only a single page (for example https://www.bing.com/search?q=AI), so that I can access the AI from that page and redirect the rest of the search results. It would also be great to have a dropdown menu when clicking the Chrometana icon, instead of being redirected to a new page to enable/disable it (Instead of whitelisting the page)

  It seems there are many comments here about combination of EdgeDeflector and Chrometana not working and I don't see any solutions suggested. Do you expect it should be working for Windows 11? As with many comments, EdgeDeflector option not available to open edge. Is there another way to get Chrometana to work without EdgeDeflector?

  When I have the browser closed and I try to search something with windows search, it opens a new browser windows and gives me a bing search instead of a google search. When I refresh the page it then redirects me to the google search. This issue does not happen if the browser already happens to be open, the extension works with no problem in this case. It seems like the issue is the page does not refresh on opening so that the chrometana redirects me from bing to google.

  Hi Marc, I hate bing, but then I am starting to hate google more - I've been using Ecosia, and when trying to use the maps function within that it has the option to choose from google maps and bing maps. Google maps works (and I've been using this for quite a while), but as I mentioned I'm trying to get off google - Bing maps just redirects back to ecosia because assumingly the url is of a similar format to a bing search!   Hi and thanks for any help if you can answer. I installed Chrometana Pro and then I downloaded Edge Deflector as well. When I went to search on Cortana, a popup came up and I set Edge Deflector as the default program, I did a search, and it searched in Chrome. It worked and I was so happy! The only problem is that it only worked once. I tried searching again and Edge kept coming back up.... I uninstalled Edge Deflector and reinstalled it and it still didn't work, but on the reinstall when I went to search using Cortana, I did not get the default app popup like the first time. I'd really like to be able to search Chrome from my taskbar instead of using Edge because everything I use is Google, my phone, my email, etc.. I really don't want to use Edge and I dislike being forced to use it without my consent. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Wes

  It seems there's an issue with the latest version in Windows in which the window doesn't prompt Step 4 after installing Edge Deflector. You need to go to default apps by protocol and manually select "Edge Deflector" under the "Microsoft-Edge" protocol. If not, it will default to Microsoft Edge each time. I've verified this on 3 different machines now all running Windows 10. Thank you!

  I love it but I'm having a slight issue. When I search something using cortana, Edge is deflected and chrome is launched but bing is not redirected to google. This only happens when I search something while chrome is closed. When chrome is already running, the extensions works properly and opens a new tab using the google search engine. It's a minor issue but it would be nice if I didn't need to keep chrome running in the background.

  All queries use Bing when querying from taskbar address window. Search in Chrome browser works great. Always uses selected DuckDuckGo. When I install Edgedeflector, it never comes up to set it as default as described in the install instructions.

  For those that are complaining that the option to set Edge Deflector as the default is coming up, I was actually able to override that by simply trying to search after I had installed it.
