Dictionary Anywhere extension helps you stay focused on what you are reading by eliminating the need to search for meaning, Double-clicking any word will view its definition in a small pop-up bubble. Now you never have to leave what you are reading to search meaning for the words you don't know.
It also supports Spanish, German, French language alongside English.
To change the language:
- Navigate to Add-ons page,
- Choose Extensions in sidebar,
- Choose Dictionary Anywhere,
- Click on options (preferences on mac),
- Select the language you want, and save.

very handy, I am able to look up any unknown word automatically. it seems like it supports other languages but not fully; depends on google, i guess, as this extension relied on a google search. sometimes you might not be reading stuff, i recommend changing the setting to 'click to enable the extension' rather than available at all times.
Only the basic, common definitions are listed here. You have to (inconveniently) click "more" to see more definitions of that word. Lazy app.
Great Extension! Can you fix this issue? "This extension may soon no longer be supported because it doesn't follow best practices for Chrome extensions."
cool extension, but no matter how many times i set it so that itll stop storing the definitions it keeps toggling it back on. really annoying too since it does a google search so my search history on chrome is flooded with "define [definition]". would appreciate a fix for that, but otherwise a nice extension
Finally, a Google Dictionary replacement that not only works great but looks and functions identically. I've been looking for an extension like this for a while, was looking at the dictionaryapi.dev API to make something and found this extension affiliated with them. Small suggestion for an easy enhancement would be to include a link to the Google Define search when the extension dosen't find a definition (same as it does when it does find the definition).
I think it is good and comfortable. You need only two click the word and you get the result.

Can you add more words for me to download? Currently it's preset to 7 but I want to increase to 50. Other than that it's pretty useful tool that show you pop up in the same page

Does not work. "Family", "Father", "Vigil" are a few example words that it says no definition found.

Perfectly working fine.

Works perfectly..I would like to suggest a feature..It would be much helpful if there is an "add to list" feature so that we can look at that list later and refresh our memory..Majority of English Learners will like it. Just suggesting:-)
