STEER CLEAR OF UNWANTED CHARGES
Enjoy greater control over your online shopping experience. With Eno, you can lock or unlock your virtual card numbers anytime without affecting your other spending.

- (2025-07-08) Aaron Snell: I use the Capital One virtual card extension and the Capital One shopping extension every day. The virtual cards allow you to setup a dedicated card for each vendor. You can also set a date for the card to automatically lock out so it cannot be charged. Great for one-off purchases. You can of course change this date as needed so you can make new purchases. I have used this flawlessly on Amazon because Amazon has a habit of subscribing me to random channels (e.g. PBS Kids). This allows me to prevent those unauthorized charges. I probably have close to 20 virtual cards that I use frequently. With your permission, the virtual card typically auto-populates onto the web form to make things easy. Literally the only downside I have seen with the extension is the requirement to sign in (to your Capital One account) often but I imagine that is more of a security measure.
- (2025-07-02) S. Spyker: The only reason I am giving this a 4 out of 5 is that though there is convenience and added security it is far from fool proof. We were under the impression that using the virtual numbers would prevent the need to replace our card if the virtual number was hacked. Inevitably, if a virtual number is used without our permission Capital One will deactivate the main card and replace it, leaving us without our company credit card for a week (it's no longer 2 days). So, though ENO is supposed to be a "financial firewall" it can still be hacked and it doesn't prevent the card from being replaced.
- (2025-06-28) river4888: I like the extra security and convenience
- (2025-06-27) Rachel Dulaney: Nice added level of security and convenient to not have to go get my wallet when making an online purchase.
- (2025-06-23) Pat Oberkfell: Like the security and convenience.
- (2025-06-23) Lou Jez: the extra security is assuring.
- (2025-06-21) Mike Armenia: ENO is fantastic but if you loose your real base card and replace it with a new one, all your ENO virtuals are cancelled and you need to reissue/associate all of them with the new base card. So keep a record of all your virtuals!
- (2025-06-14) Eugenia Jones: It's great!!
- (2025-06-11) J. Thomas Black: I used to have to periodically get new credit cards from Capital One because people would somehow obtain my credit card number and make unauthorized charges. That is a thing of the past now that I'm using Eno. It's an outstanding feature, thanks Capital One!
- (2025-06-11) Klein Visuals: This extension is so secure for your cards, especially if you are a foodie exploring many eateries and raking points on apps.
- (2025-06-07) Paula Laskowski: I like the fact that my credit card is secure against fraud. It makes shopping on line easier.
- (2025-06-07) Mable Wise: This is a great app! Saves me time and protects against fraud.
- (2025-06-05) Jeffrey Meyer: Very helpful
- (2025-06-02) Rue Silver: This extension is such a lifesaver.
- (2025-05-30) Ildefonso Camargo: It is a good and easy to use extension. The virtual cards are very good as they get locked to only one web site: makes fraud less likely, even if the number got leaked by the vendor.
- (2025-05-27) Averill Anderson: Eno makes shopping online as a CapitalOne card holder simple and even more secure not having to expose our physical credit card number. I highly recommend using Eno from CapitalOne.
- (2025-05-25) Gina Greene: I love that I don't have to expose my actual card number when I'm shopping online. Genius. Thank you, Capital One!
- (2025-05-25) Jim Korn: Great way limit your exposure to your card being hacked.
- (2025-05-22) Joshua: Helpful to protect your actual card number and you can put freeze or limit on them. Doesn't always auto fill and I would give it 5 Stars if you could generate virtual cards from within the Capital One phone app.
- (2025-05-16) Sharon Hansen: When it works, it's great, it just doesn't always work and sometimes there is a notification that the system isn't working, sometimes its just tough luck. Cap One needs to remember if I can't access the virtual card, then I can't make the purchase
- (2025-05-15) Jerry Frank: If you have a Capital One credit card and shop online, this app is a must-have. It generates unique virtual card numbers tied to your credit card and the specific merchant where you’re making a purchase. The key advantages: - Enhanced Security: The virtual card number is valid only for the designated merchant. If the merchant is hacked and your virtual card number is stolen, it's useless to the hackers. - Complete Control: You can lock the card number immediately after your purchase and unlock it again if you need to make another transaction with the same merchant. This ensures that the merchant cannot charge your card unless you unlock it—no unexpected subscriptions or unauthorized charges.
- (2025-05-09) Jon Daley: I've now had two virtual card numbers generated not by me. This plugin is the most likely source of intrusion as I have 2FA turned on for all of my devices and I get texts whenever I login anywhere, etc. My guess is that I have a browser with a bad extension that is able to gain access to this extension, so I'm uninstalling the plugin. Note, for anyone returning the phone calls for fraudulent activity - I had two separate agents at two separate incidents tell me that it was my physical card that was compromised, and it was actually virtual card numbers that were created just before purchase. A manager confirmed that the agents didn't know what they were talking about.
- (2025-05-09) Yami Howard: Easy to use, bugs are fixed quickly, and it makes the safety of virtual cards convenient. I particularly love the auto-lock feature to keep free trials from being forgotten or abused.
- (2025-05-09) Josh Blaylock: Capital One Eno Virtual Cards and extension are great! I love the auto-lock feature, which helps make sure free trial subscriptions don't automatically roll over into expensive billed payments. I also love the fact that when using a virtual card number for scheduled bill pay, if you have a security event on or loss of the physical card, the virtual card details don't need to be updated even when your physical card is reissued with a different number. Awesome concept and implementation!
- (2025-05-09) Greg Mickle: I've been using virtual cards for many years. I feel much safer giving out a virtual number when ordering online. It works well for me.
- (2025-05-08) Deborah R: Capital One is light years ahead of other credit card companies, honestly. I've been using virtual cards for years and have never had a problem. Well, at one point I had tech issues and wasn't able to log in to Eno, but I uninstalled / reinstalled and no problems since! Highly recommend!
- (2025-05-08) Quartz Warrior: Can't even login, prompts me to enter a new mobile number which for some reason they can't find my already linked number, and even after that, tells me to try again "later" which ive waited weeks with no change.
- (2025-05-07) Ben Matthews: Super useful and works like a charm
- (2025-04-30) robin smith: I have to say that this is a brilliant way to stay safe in today's on line era. The only hitch involves returns and being able to access the virtual number if needed to verify CC# for returns. I had a bit of an issue with this for a gift card that never made it to the intended recipient but when I called I got instant help from Cap One and my cost was refunded and they took over with the merchant so the customer service backs this up! Thanks for this brilliant idea!
- (2025-04-30) kathy o: As a former employee and watching ENO rollout, its amazing how he improves online shopping and security of our data. He's become part of the family. :)
- (2025-04-29) Surf Tim: Love it. Though since my Kohls Card was linked with Capital One, I cannot access my virtual card manager for Capital One directly. Seems like it always defaults to Kohls Virtual Card Manager, which I have none. Then I have to switch accounts to access my Capital One Virtual Cards. But Enos itself using Chrome on my laptop still works fine for creating Virtual Cards for new merchants.
- (2025-04-29) Susan M: Love Eno. lots of comfort
- (2025-04-28) Sarah Montes Alvarez: When I try to log in, the extension attempts to verify my identity using a phone number but says there is no number on file. However, I confirmed through the Capital One portal that my account does have a phone number listed. When I try to manually enter a mobile number, the extension says it’s unable to verify and prompts me to "Try again later."
- (2025-04-27) David Carr: Great Virtual card Generator. I love Eno!
- (2025-04-27) Haniffah Olaonipekun: Awesome
- (2025-04-26) Kennedy Brooks: Great 'smart' service ... another excellent reason to be with Capital One!
- (2025-04-26) Piper Foreso: Happy with Eno and not using my real cc numbers online.
- (2025-04-23) Janice DeMello: I trust Eno and love using virtual card as I feel it protects me from fraud
- (2025-04-23) Kent Williams: Love the security that ENO provides. I also love Capital One ... no other credit card service comes close to the level of customer service provided by these folks. I could go on and on but suffice it to say - Capital One crushes the competition in any category that you choose to compare and contrast.
- (2025-04-23) Ron Eazell: Very nice plugin. My only wish was it wasn't so intrusive on all checkout pages. It gets in the way sometimes, and when you go back to check on an item and refresh your cart, there it is again. But overall, still 5 stars because of how great it is to use the virtual cards for each vendor and knowing I can shut them on and off at will.
- (2025-04-16) Moe Moe: Love the proactive discount hunting. Very convenient and effective way to leverage virtual cards.
- (2025-04-15) Charlotte Knudsen: WORKED THIS TIME. love it when it does.
- (2025-04-14) Keith Williams: Love having a virtual card that allow me to set the expiration date at my choosing. Thank you for the extra security measures you are taking to keep our finances secured.
- (2025-04-11) Kris Springer: Eno may not respond depending on the website, and any changes to T&C, or the cert of the website. Since I have put the extension link on my task bar, and made sure all the settings for cookies worked, I haven't had a problem. Keep that in mind. If you clean cookies and other data out (not a bad practice) you may have to "wake up" Eno. Other than having security on my computer occasionally remove the cookie for Eno from a website, it works as it should. Don't forget to go out and look at Eno to see what websites you have set up. Best practices if you haven't set up an expiration date.
- (2025-04-09) Cathy Palmer: It hasn't worked for me for months. I did like it when it did.
- (2025-04-08) Shane Jinson: love virtual cards
- (2025-04-06) Joseph Martino: One major reason I've had my Capital One card for ten years. Virtual card provides a layer of security that I can control when I am providing my credit card information to merchants I do not know. It can be used for a one time purchase or for ongoing purchases and turned off whenever I feel necessary. This feature is very easy to use. Love it.
- (2025-04-05) Brian Smith: I love this feature. When it wasn't working for a while, I didn't feel as comfortable making online purchases. Glad it's back and working seamlessly (at least for me).
- (2025-03-28) Love the ENO Virtual card. Just one more added layer to protect me from credit card fraud is always welcome.
