It is super light-weight and only activates when you are on your campus bookstore website.

A. Occupy The Bookstore is a simple and lightweight Chrome extension that helps you save hundreds on your textbooks. It shows the online prices, as well as student listings, right alongside the bookstore offering.
Q. How does it work?
A. Occupy The Bookstore is powered by Texts.com, the first great textbook exchange. It works by identifying the book in question on the bookstore website, and then automatically generating a list of online prices and student deals for that title.
Q. Is my university's bookstore website supported?
A. If your school uses BNCollege, bkstr.com or Neebo, it will be supported, along with a few specific other schools. More support is in the works.
Q. Do I need to register or provide personal information?
A. There is no need to register or provide any other information. Simply install, navigate to your bookstore's website, and start saving money!
Q. Can I sell my books through Occupy The Bookstore?
A. Yes! To include your book listings in the Occupy The Bookstore results, simply register an account at Texts.com and add the books to your profile -- they'll list automatically. Student to student transactions are always 100% free.
Q. How do you make money?
A. We've partnered with all the top textbook companies (Amazon, Chegg, etc.) to provide the best possible deals. When we help drive business to their services, they reward us with an affiliate commission. Please note that this does not in any way effect your price -- you'll always get the best deal.
Q. Does Occupy The Bookstore slow down my browser or track my activity?
A. Of course not. The extension only activates when you're on your bookstore's website; at all other times, it's in a dormant state and will not use any resources. Simply load up Chrome's built-in task manager (Window >> Task Manager) to see for yourself.
Q. How do I uninstall this extension if I don't like it?
A. We are pretty sure you will like it, but if you don't, simply go to your extensions manager in Chrome (Window >> Extensions) and deactivating the plugin is a simple one-click process.

Oddly enough, only the vendor I ordered from linked to the wrong textbook. Double check before ordering!

While these are definitely cheaper, some of my professors disallow the use of international textbooks. It'd be helpful if there were an option to disallow searching for international editions. Aside from this, very helpful.

- (2015-08-14) Yeah so I just spoke with these guys via email as this extension seemed to have stopped working. It's not broken, it's still actually working guys. You just have to go to your actual college's bookstore's website for it to work properly. At least that did it for me. Thanks again to the team that Dev'd this extension.
