Description from store URLShortener is an extension for Google Chrome / Chromium which allows you to shorten the current website URL and makes it easy to post to Twitter, also copy to clipboard and see the URL QRcode. How to use: Go to the options page you can choose which URL shortener services you would like to use, e.g. BitLy needs you user name and API Key in order to work properly. It also has an option to retrieve the current website's title and include it along with the shortened URL so it becomes easy to post to twitter without having to write anything. In order to post to twitter, you need to authorize this extension with oauth by twitter. Services Available: - Bit.Ly + history (only 100/day) - Goo.gl - Youtu.be - TinyURL - Is.Gd - Migre.me - Durl.me - Chilp.it - y.ahoo.it - McAf.ee

(2012-02-25) Johan Hereora Hummerhielm: This sucks. Use TinyURL extension instead, which by one click will convert it into a tinyurl as well as copy it to the clipboard - INSTEAD - of forcing you to copy + paste the original URL at all. Try TinyURL after trying this crap!

Attempts to create a shortned URL just lead to loading message indefinitely.

Had worked fine until recently. Symptoms: clicking the icon does nothing and the button keeps being pushed down. Accessing right click menu > Options does nothing: it goes infinite loop and configuration page never appears. Removed extension, installed it again fresh from Chrome webstore. No change; same behavior.
