Description from store A chrome extension to improve the usability of Salesforce change sets NEW! Validation helper. Validate your change set in another org directly without uploading or leaving your changeset. Feel free to send me your feedback and if you'd like to have deploy as well! Features include: - Includes the last modified date and user and api name for each item. - Automatically ordered by most recent modified first - Filter/Search/Order by any field. - Sets all pages to show the 1000 rows. If more than 1000 items in a page, asks if you want to continue to retrieve more. - View and Search on items in the change set. This allows you to see the whole change set and search to make removing much easier. - Compare to another org (uses OAuth2.0 -- no username or password information is seen or stored by this extension). - Shows the last modified date and user for the compared org as well. - Click the file name to see a diff of the metadata file between orgs. Note that there is a delay when loading large pages and you may need to disable other chrome extensions that alter the change set page. Please feel free to report bugs, or issues or request new features! Release 1.3 Updated to support workflows, reports, email templates and many more. Release 1.4 Updated to add ability to keep getting 1000 more items on pages. (Salesforce will only retrieve 1000 a time.) Added in a "clear" function to clear the search filters. Clear is automatically called before items are added to change set -- this is because of a bug where the items will not be added unless they are visible. Release 2.02 Now can compare files between orgs. Log in to a sandbox or dev/prod org. Uses Oauth2.0 for authorization -- no user or password information is seen or stored locally. Shows the last modified date and user for the compared org. Click the name and see a diff comparison of the two. Release 2.1.1 Fixed bugs with hanging when no content. Merged with "beta" extension -- new features such as download zip file of the change set. Release 2.1.2 Fixed bug with Quick Links on VF page even when disabled Fixed bug with Sharing Criteria Rules Release 2.2.0 Now includes Validation helper. Log into another org and validate the change set.

  • (2019-09-13) Laerke Kjeldsen: It used to work perfectly, but now, when I select e.g. Custom Fields it just gives me the java wait spinner and I can't use the page. Unticking the 'Require HTTPOnly Attribute' did not solve the problem. Please help.

  • (2019-06-27) Richard Wintle: Nice extension. Took a bit of trial and error to find stuff. I'd like to see: - compare on items in the change set. Seems I can only compare when adding items in the 'Add' screen. - show on the page the org name being compared with. - should not have to click Compare to org button to see compare column every time page refreshes. - click of compare to org always displays login window, but I can close that (without login) to use the last selected logged-in org (I think) - which is not obvious. - what is the connected app package: Salesforce Change Set Helper? It came up in a sandbox I was comparing to. Does it need installing on all orgs? I seem to be able to compare orgs without it. Great tool - but could do with more detailed instructions.
  • (2019-05-28) Luke Snelgar: This works great in classic! Would be good to have it work in Lightning also. Only issue I've had so far is it currently throws an error for me when attempting to add Global Value Sets - "ERROR: ........... {faultcode:'sf:INVALID_TYPE', faultstring:'INVALID_TYPE: Unknown type:Picklist', }"
  • (2019-02-14) Adam Lederman: This is a much needed enhancement to the change set creation process! One thing that would be great is if there was a way to set a last modified date filter prior to the initial load of the components, in orgs with 1000's of components, it would reduce the list to the components that are most likely to be part of the change set one is creating.
  • (2018-12-18) Mitch Conquer: Saves so much time and makes creating changesets relatively painless. No idea why this isn't standard functionality in Salesforce...
  • (2018-11-14) For Reviews: Love this tool. Change sets were such a nightmare before finding this.

  • (2018-09-06) Pranav Sharma: Great helped me a lot during deployments.. Best out of all deployment chrome extensions available
  • (2018-08-16) Robert Nunemaker: It used to work great, but it doesn't work any more. When it tells me I have more than 1000 items and to continue or cancel, when I cancel it just gives me the java wait spinner and I can't use the page.
  • (2018-08-16) Junaya Raika: Awesome - big help for identifying components to add to a changeset.
  • (2018-07-08) Waqar Ahsan: It was working perfectly. But suddenly it isnt working anymore. It gets stuck on loading and doesnt pick dates etc fields from SF. I have tried it on 4,5 different PC's and 4,5 different systems.

  • (2018-01-03) Arnab KarSarkar: This extension is awesome
  • (2017-11-21) Gabe Grimley: Incredible extension to improve Change Sets. One small thing is that this does not work in Lightning. An example that can save a ton of time: Say you added 5 custom fields. With this extension, you can filter by Type (dropdown), Date Modified, Modified By, and in a few seconds you see all of the Case fields you added yesterday.
  • (2017-10-18) Igor Umansky: No more working with last version of Chrome .. rotating wheel never stops on classes, triggers, etc ..
  • (2017-09-08) Pankaj Paryani: Perfect Helper. :)
  • (2017-07-05) Anita Hedges: Excellent tool - makes deployments pain free!

  • (2020-01-10, v:2.2.0) Eddie Bates: Spinning Wheel
When I click to add a component I get the spinning wheel. It's weird as this is only happening on instance cs51 and not cs25 (which is working fine)
  • (2019-12-19, v:2.2.0) Matthew Will: Add component page never loads - Constant spinning wheel icon
I just added the extension and am using classic mode. When I click to add components to a change set the page never loads. It produces a spinning progress wheel icon that doesn't go away. The screen behind it is whited out, but I can see that the page loaded there with the additional buttons from the extension. I just can't access it.
  • (2019-11-05, v:2.2.0) Stefaan Somers: Unable to validate changeset against production

  • (2019-08-22, v:2.2.0) Chris Carlson: Cannot Find Cookie For Session ID
Whenever I try to use this in my sandbox, I am getting the following error: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property '1' of null at changeset.js:457 Which is referencing sforce.metadata.sessionId = document.cookie.match('sid=([^;]*)')[1]; Because of this, I'm stuck in an infinite loading screen. Any help with how to solve this problem would be appreciated!
  • (2019-07-29, v:2.2.0) Ruiter Rodrigues Gripp: Great extension, but would be nice to use in Lightning Experience
Extension works like a charm in classic mode, but would be awesome if we could use it in Lightning Experience too.

  • (2019-05-14, v:2.2.0) Roland Siebert: Not working with Summer 19 Release
Plugin does not work any more, since SF updated Sandbox to Summer 19. I can see an error in the log. Looks like does not store the sessionId in the cookies any more. Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property '1' of null at changeset.js:457 sforce.metadata.sessionId = document.cookie.match('sid=([^;]*)')[1]; Best Roland
  • (2019-05-01, v:2.2.0) Maria Huemmer: Validate Helper doesn't update
    Recently, when I validate, the Validate Helper section just displays brackets and doesn't include the specific detail. I have to go to the org I have tested the deploy to in order to get the details. Any ideas? Here's what's shown {} {}
  • (2019-04-26, v:2.2.0) Michaela Riestenberg: Not working
When I am editing a changeset and click on the Change Set Helper extension, nothing on happens on the page.
  • (2019-04-24, v:2.2.0) Ken Louf: Last Modified Date format
On the Apex Classes page, the Last Modified Date is displaying in YYYY-DD-MM format, which is not only confusing, but makes the sorting functionality of that column useless. Should be displayed in YYYY-MM-DD format (I am guessing that was the intention).
  • (2019-03-11, v:2.2.0) Laughter Ajibade: Search through code diff in 'Compare with Sandbox org' functionality
It's nice that you can Compare a component in your source org with the same component in your target org when building a changeset. It will be nicer to have additional functionality to search through the diff on either side when one uses the Compare functionality.
  • (2019-02-20, v:2.2.0) Kleytman Aular: Error on Downloading metadata
Since (20 feb 2019) I noticed a error when trying to download the metadata from salesforce, when one clicks the button it just not work, I checked the chrome console and found the error: Refused to set unsafe header "User-Agent" send @ connection36.js:594, I think this could be related to a chrome update.
