- (2020-12-31) shadow pun: pretty good and handy very often. would like multiple files tho, but cool extension!
- (2020-09-25) t t: Quite useful, fast, light-weight, always under the hand. But please make the textarea width part of the settings. For my monitors it's better 1600px than 800 px
- (2019-11-08) ray ham: Real nice and simple text entry. Like i can do retro green on black, a rare feature, been looking for this for a while. BEST FEATURE - your text is instantly saved, i assume if my pc crashes it will retain what i last typed in, but have not tested this. Great. Sometimes - rarely - it may stop working. Re-enabling the extension did not help. The text appears to be stored in chrome cache but encrypted and unreadable - I used a change monitoring app to detect this. The solution to getting it working again and retaining my text was to shut down and reboot pc. ie chrome recovers old sessions and the quick write extension works again and displays previously entered text. Also - when you have a very large amount of text - 1000's of lines - it slows down text entry badly - just back up the text to a file and start with a blank page again. The best part is that it backs up text as soon as you enter it, so it is hard to lose any notes, unlike most text editors. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE ADVISE ON THE KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS - LIKE F5 TAKES YOU TO THE TOP OF THE PAGE - that's the only shortcut I know :(
- (2019-01-24) Afaga Flis: lost all my notes, taken over the years. like the previous reviewer i wanted to ask if there's any way to get those data back? he didn't get any answer though, which sucks
- (2018-07-09) Todo Shunsuke: 10万字程度の全角文字の文章も貼り付けられる。文字サイズ、背景色、文字色を変えられるのが良い。
- (2018-03-29) Abdelrahman Refaat: I used it for a while to save some stuff. Today I opened it and everything was just gone. I didn't delete them or anything, they just disappeared. Is there anyway to get them back ?
- (2018-01-26) Mateusz Niedźwiecki: You can type It's that simple, and exactly what I needed. Lack of options and fancy autostuff happening like auto capitalization, is it's greatest advantage. Much recommend, such wow.
- (2018-01-24) Senthil kumar Brucee: good
- (2017-12-15) Len Kowalik: Simple, yes, but a little too simple for my liking. I did not try very much with it, but judged somewhat by others' comments.
- (2017-09-16) Not useful for html text. You can only create one file and you can't save it to your Drive.
- (2017-09-14) Bolatito Akanji: Does the job well
- (2017-09-04) Brandon Abreu: my text editor is waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy better
- (2017-08-21) Robert Ehrnsten: Why so much line space, dev?! Please increase it or add an option to edit. Otherwise nice addon!
- (2017-06-24) John Smith: Like it, but wonder where it keeps the file you're working on and if there is a way to save it off and open a new file.
- (2017-02-19) Alexander K.: simple, quick, useful.
- (2017-01-19) Peter Smith: I was expecting to be able to edit an existing txt file.
- (2017-01-04) D C: PROS: It autosaves what you write and keeps it until you delete it. CONS: Only one window - no way to keep multiple entries separate. No title feature. No scroll bar! This extension is useful for composing something on your browser that you are not ready to post on a website, or for keeping notes on your browser. However, there are already ways to do this. I've used TextEdit and Gmail to compose things I'm not ready to post. Quick Write doesn't offer anything other than a window to type in. I'd just as soon use Gmail - at least there I can keep multiple entries separate and give them each a name. Verdict: Useful for some people.
- (2016-12-04) Al Roulexe: Quick and easy to use. Great for things like composing email (so you don't have to fiddle about with Gmail's appalling methods just to compose in a larger window). It also saves your last entry, which is useful as you don't need to worry about saving if in a rush. I would like an option to maximise the space on the screen; currently it seems to default to portrait document margins or something. Just updating this because I use the app all the time. It's amazing how hard it was to find something as simple and effective of this! Also very useful how it saves your last session. Excellent.
- (2016-11-13) Graham Sanders: Simple and effective. Can you add a word counter at the bottom of the screen? And maybe an option to hide the status bar?
- (2016-11-01) louka shao: ceshi
- (2016-08-10) Mark R: It's so easy to write with this thing. Wish it had a little more power, but I'll take easy.
- (2016-06-23) M Cover: Still seems to work fine and does exactly what it says... a simple text editor in a browser tab. If you accidentally close the tab and then re-open the app, your previous text is still there. This is not a fancy editor, but if you're looking for something barebones where you can change font (a choice of 4), background color, font color, and font size with no saving, this is it.
- (2016-06-06) Stefan Travis: Simple and does the job. Would be useful to be able to share to blogger, tumbler etc as well as facebook.
- (2016-06-05) Jake Smith: Would be nice to have word count as well instead of character count perhaps
- (2016-05-25) Marco Orozco: De gran valor!!!
- (2015-12-10) M. v. Gulik: Not bad. But needs different behavior when moving selected url's (or better doc of course). Removing and switching to other basic/simple text editor for inside chrome.
- (2015-09-07) crz zak: 非常棒!简单明了! very nice application! 如果能明示保存位置就好了! but i don't know how to save to my finder~
