Have I Downloaded This Before?

Doesn't work. I got a notification asking that I have already downloaded this file and if I wanted to resume download. But this notification came after the file got downloaded again. Waste of time.

No longer works. Annoying.

sometimes it works. sometimes it doesn't. it could also do with a lot of extra options, for instance, 'have I downloaded this filename before' -- often you save files with your own filename, it would be useful if it could detect that you've saved something as that filename already (because it could well be the same file).

This extension still works to date, last updated 2015 but works amazingly!

Really love this extension. Only thing I would like to see is the popup notification 'go away' after I've made a choice, instead of me having to close it with the [X] icon.

This is a great little extension that is simple and effective. It does exactly what it say it does, alert you when you try to download a file that you've already downloaded, so you don't end up filling up your downloads folder with a bunch of duplicates.

It literally doesn't work!! I downloaded a link. then I tried again and yes a window popped up...but it doesn't give you the option TO NOT DOWNLOAD IT. I clicked over to the download window and THERE IT WAS, AGAIN!! IN THE (1) AND (2) FORMAT...WHAT THE HECK?

doesn't work win8.1

It pauses downloads that have been downloaded before but no pop up to open existing one. Win7. I would love this to work, and think it would be essential for everyone to avoid duplicates. nevermind

It doesnt work i have it enabled and i can keep downloading the same thing it doesnt give me a message at all

Doesn't work fully on Win7. Only pauses the download but nothing else happens. Not really handy to use.

This has to be one of the most genius ideas ever. A simple, yet overlooked feature that should have been implemented long ago! Simply superb! You're amazing! Keep up the great work!

This is genius! It's annoying when I go to download LEGAL copies of my roms to find out I already have a copy of it! Or accidentally downloading the same homework assignment. That would pile my downloads folder with unnecessary copies of the same file. With this extension I am able to be notified when it realizes I already downloaded a file and asks whether or not I want to cancel my download, open it instead of downloading, or carry on with the installation just in case I want two copies. Very productive.
