Used this for years. I have a fairly good vocabulary, but much of what I read challenges me. Then, of course, when I write, I oftentimes need precision. Having synonyms at my fingertips saves time and therefore I'm less likely to lose my thread of thought.

This app is so amazing. I can't remember exactly how long I have been using it but I bet it's been very useful to me.

I have used WordWeb for a dozen years or so and each new version has made word look up easier with new features and enhancements. If you want to quickly lookup a word's meaning, look no further. WordWeb offers multiple dictionaries - Chambers, Collins, Oxford- and a thesaurus. WordWeb will even pronounce the word for you. I highly recommend it to anyone who does a lot of writing, explaining, reading or studying English.

Would be a lot better if it used the already opened window rather than closing it and opening a new window at different dimensions.

WordWeb (standalone and/or extension) has always been on every device I've owned, be it laptop or smart phone. It is an indispensable tool for anyone who cares about expression of language (English in this case.) Love it and it's one of the first apps I consider when getting a new device.

Ever wished you had the Define/Look up function from the iPhone on your computer? Well look no further bc WordWeb will make that wish come true!!! It works basically the same way as the iPhone, just double click/highlight the word, then press Ctrl + Right Click and KAPOW!! Word defined!!! This is the best and easiest one of these out there so I mean it, look no further! (and uhh.. listen... probably not supposed to tell you this but if you want this greatness to work outside of Chrome, get the actual WordWeb app and you can use it EVERYWHERE!!! And it's free so like, don't even worry!!)

Even though you are looking for a word in the browser, it opens its application window for giving out the meaning. It would have been better if it shows meaning in the browser itself

I say I use wordweb the most whenever I need to check or lookup to the meanings. If I ever would recommend a dictionary I will always recommend Wordweb. The most best, compressed and easy to use. I would like to give it a six star rating maybe that's not enough too though a really great program If I say including the hot-keys to open it much faster made it more convenient than ever. Really really thanks.

Works like a charm. For a 6th star, I'd find it handy to look up Bible verses. Also an Edenics dictionary. WordWeb rocks!

Please provide different meanings with respect to different parts of speech, if it is there in a precise and concise way.And break each word into syallable and also show which letter is silent, so that it would be useful to understand on how to pronounce the word and also improve pronounciation with a clear vocal speech.Rest is fine,Thank you.
