Description from extension meta

Hotkey-based browsing of bookmarks, in forward or reverse order

Image from store Bookmark Walker
Description from store What ---- A simple Google Chrome extension which creates shortcut keys for stepping through bookmarks from the folder of your choice in forward or reverse order. Why --- I save a lot of bookmarks while browsing the web, but I find it overly tedious to click through my various bookmark folders to revisit my saved sites. I wanted the ability to pick a particular folder, and then press a hotkey to step through each bookmark without hassle. How --- - Click the extension's icon to choose a bookmarks folder to step through. - Press Alt+M to browse forward through the bookmarks in your chosen folder. Successive presses will step through each bookmark in the folder, displaying them in the current tab. - Alt+N cycles through the bookmarks in the opposite order.

  • (2022-05-19) Erica N. Anderton: It's better than nothing, or an extension that asks for unnecessary permissions, but it has a few inconveniences compared to the one I was previously using (until that got removed for some reason). 1. Even if you click a bookmark in the relevant folder the extension still continues from the top of the folder or the last bookmark you accessed using the extension instead of the most recently accessed bookmark in general, 2. if it would navigate to a folder inside the set folder it navigates in that folder instead of the set folder and there is no way to skip it and navigate the actual target folder, 3. manually setting the folder is an annoying extra step compared to navigating from the most recently accessed bookmark.
  • (2018-09-26) Jim H: I love what this extension does. It is very easy to use and works extremely well. The only thing I wished for was a way to choose a starting point other than only the beginning of the list. Thanks for developing a useful tool.
  • (2018-05-13) Karl Masterr: FANTASTIC. Works, unlike others. Would be great if you could add: ALT+1 for 1st bookmark, ALT+2 for 2nd bookmark, .... ALT+9 for 9th bookmark AND ALT+0 for 10th bookmark. Try it, you would love it. Saves loading lots of previous bookmarks.

  • (2017-09-23) Richard Les inconnus: I use it to quickly scan a number of sales sites for new items and works great, what I would say is could it walk through sites automatically ( as opposed keying it ) other than that very helpful ext

  • (2020-03-26, v:1.4.3) Vitor Barata: I would like to have a way to reset the position to the first item in this folder.
Thanks for the good work. Very useful, genius, simple. Let me suggest a further improvement: shortcut key to reset to the first item in this folder. (useful when you didn't reach the last item, but you need to start over)
