Backspace to go Back
Restores browser behavior of navigating to previous page when pressing the Backspace key.
This extension requires permissions to inject a piece of code in all of the pages you visit. If that freaks you out, that's ok. Handing over those permissions freaks me out too.
You can choose to install this extension from source (it's very short) to make sure it's not doing anything malicious.

작동합니까? 이번에 엣지업데이트됐다던데 그후로 안돼네; -추가- 업데이트 되었나 보네요. 작동합니다.
Also lost this function as of 109.0.5414.75 (Official Build) (64-bit). Alt + left arrow works in Chrome, but not in other apps where backspace is the only option.

The extension worked until updating to Chrome 109.0.5414.74. Now it stopped working :( It now fails with event.path being undefined in the Content script on these two lines: // Overcomes issues with custom elements wrapping INPUT const target = event.path[0];

Love this extension but could be improved by having the ability to disable on certain sites.

Works on my other computers but not on my new one. It keeps defaulting back to "on click". I cannot be changing the settings for this thing on every blasted page I visit. Is this even kept up anymore?

Doesn't let you denylist certain sites. Some sites have horrible engineers behind them where if you type a backspace in a text area, it will trigger the extension and navigate back instead of actually doing a backspace. You need to give us the option to disable the extension on a per-domain basis

After updating Brave to version 1.19.90 on a Mac this extension was flagged as being malware and was automatically disabled. I have switched to the Google "Go Back With Backspace" at https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/go-back-with-backspace/eekailopagacbcdloonjhbiecobagjci It works the same as the previous extension.

This is an essential extension. I have no idea how this basic functionally could be removed from Chrome. It is up to individual websites to warn if the user is about to leave whiteout saving first. That covers backspace, back button in browser, forward button in browser, back button on mouse, forward button on mouse, links, closing the browser, closing the tab etc. Removing a key feature because some sites are broken is stupid!

Has done exactly as described, have never had any issue with the page going back while typing in a text field.

Its great but a new problem has arisen with Chrome Remote Desktop. Chrome Remote Desktop is now a browser only app and pressing backspace within it (editing text on remote computer) navigates you out of the session - quite jarring! An exception needs to be added for this site, or the functionality for users to omit sites. Thanks!

It would be nice if there was an exclusion list. Very rarely I find a site that handles backspace a little differently like google's remotedesktop.google.com where if I'm connected to a remote machine and want to backspace something on that machine, instead this plugin takes me back a page. 99% of the time this plugin is seamlessly doing exactly what I want, but at least for one website I wish I could disable it.
