Description from extension meta

Hide morning hours on your Google Calendar to stop wasting space on your screen for empty hours.

Image from store Hide morning in Calendar
Description from store When's the last time you had a meeting at 3am? Empty hours are irrelevant and waste space on your screen. This extension lets you minimize the range of hours in the morning on your Google Calendar, so you only see the title of events during those hours. How does it work? 1. Click “Add to Chrome” to install the extension for free from the official Chrome Web Store. 2. Reload or open your Google Calendar in Chrome: https://www.google.com/calendar 3. In the Day/Week/3 or 7 days view, you will notice a new small gray handle at the top of the times on the left. Drag it down to hide morning hours. If you want to show those hours again, simply click the gray hidden hours at the top of the times on the left. Who is it for? When you use your calendar for work or school, you can set a range of working hours in the day that fits your schedule and remove the unnecessary white space during the times you're out of office or sleeping. This extension currently works if the language of Google Calendar is set to English (US). Support for more languages coming soon. Feel free to ask us any questions or tell us what you think. • (2025-05-08) Gabriel Vargas: It's no longer compatible with newer versions of Chrome. Please update
  • (2024-10-28) Stuart Crump: I like this plugin as it allows me to just focus on my part of the calendar and stop viewing outside times which are distracting. I have to stop using it as my organisation wont allow it as it states it captures PII. Can you update the plugin to not capture PII (Personally identifiable information) please??
  • (2024-09-04) David Quaglia: the idea is good but badly implemented as it shifts all the time and you miss the actual time
  • (2024-07-27) William Gordon: It hides the morning hours easily, but the calendar content just moves up and adds white space underneath instead. Defeats the whole point of the extension in my opinion.
  • (2024-06-30) WK Y: this extension is pretty old, but core feature is still working but It needs fix lost feature and some update. (update) Some problems (1,2) aren't appeared if your language setting is English. if you don't want to see this bugs, set your calander language as English. 1. the width of day columns in the week view and day view isn't properly aligned. (midnight - xx:xx part) 2. I can't see collapsed-event. If I remove midnight to 9am, I can't see events in 8am. 3. doesn't properly respond when side tool bar(task, keep etc) is turned on and off. 4. please add reverse-direction, for example It would be better if it can remove 15:00-24:00.. combining morning and midnight feature will be awesome. (like 07:00-22:00)
  • (2024-06-28) Vladimír Bláha: Good step in the right direction, but the width of day columns in the week view in the rows hidden by this extension is narrower than the width of the visible columns bellow.
  • (2024-06-19) Jim Carlton-Moyle: Love it, wish I could do the same for the evenings!
  • (2024-06-07) Kirill Dubovitskiy: Just what I was looking for! Very clean UX! Crazy google calendar does not support it natively. Is this still the case by the way?
  • (2024-04-28) Lev Sturmer: Managed to make it work by adding additional timezone in the US LA Pacific.
  • (2024-04-22) Fitzroy Centre Clubhouse: I drag it down, but it doesn't hide anything in 1 day or in week view. How far down exactly ?
  • (2024-04-10) Anton Lukyanau: Works fine, no issues so far. To find out how to hide the hours just check the screenshots provided by the author. Thank you Raphael
  • (2024-02-18) Kit Green: Doesn't hide any hours on the calendar. I just get a button which says something like "enable bedtime training". Nothing about setting up the hours you don't need to see on your calendar. Has it been hacked? Whatever, it doesn't do what it advertises. Should be removed from the store.

  • (2024-01-31) Troy Snell: Why isn't there an option to hide the evening?
  • (2024-01-27) S. W.: Works great!
  • (2024-01-13) Allen: Worked fine for me -- also worked in 2 day viewing mode. Thanks for creating this!
  • (2023-10-30) Ben Warheit: does what it says, but could give user more freedom to customize - you can pick the "end" time (7am, 6am, etc.) but you can't pick the start time - it is midnight by default. Would be better to be able to pick any block of time you want to collapse - for people with non-standard working hours.

  • (2023-10-01) Martin Saxer: One minor UI glitch: If a secondary time zone is enabled in Google Calendar settings the day column display is misaligned. I'm guessing the code assumes only a single timezone. This plugin's feature is more important than multiple timezones for me so I turned them off.

  • (2023-06-26) Julien BERTAULT: Works fine and does what it says - save screen space by hiding useless morning hours.

  • (2023-06-05) MythosMaiden: It works well but I did have a formatting issue. The "notes" text overlaps with the actual note on the calendar entry making it difficult to read.

  • (2023-05-10) Chris Lai: I liked this feature but I one-upped with my addon to also hide evenings. Feel free to try out https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/meeting-dolphin-calendar/opimkmliiphijnkokghkjggpgiajedea 😊
  • (2023-03-22) David Ashby: Not sure why some people are having issues. I installed it, opened calendar and there it was.. Sorry guys.

  • (2023-03-06) Mark Paluta: Great start. As a next step I'd recommend letting the user define one continuous block of "active hours", so that we can also hide late night, and this should also satisfy the night owl feedback). Also, this does not work on my work calendar and gives me a tool tip that it only works in English, but my calendar is already in English.

  • (2023-02-11) Sina Laura: nice! I would even give 10 stars, if you could also implement to extend the night hours. so that my day goes to 3 a.m (without a breakpoint), and starts again at 8. looking desperately for this feature :(

  • (2023-02-01) Андрей Андр. Однолько: Установил, все сработало (гугл-календарь на английском), полезно, спасибо. Присоединяюсь к просьбе добавить скрытие и вечерних часов.
  • (2023-01-30) Steve Magruder: I'd like this much more if I could set the color of the morning bar - I use a dark theme, and the gray is a bit blinding. Also, like others have mentioned - being able to block out evening hours is likely a must-have addition for many.

  • (2022-10-28) Molly Hutt: This extension is solidly 50% helpful. It's great that I can hide morning hours, but its use is seriously limited for me because there's no way to start those "morning" hours later than 12AM. I'm a major night owl, I'm self-employed, and I have a chronic illness that also means my average workday can start any time between 10AM and dinnertime. I don't always put events on my calendar during that time, but it can be helpful with time tracking and keeping tabs on my workload. For someone who works a night shift, this extension would be counterproductive. Letting people customize their "morning" hours to fit their non-working time seems like a really simple fix, and it would make the extension so much more useful.
