This extension allows you to send torrent files from your browser to your remote or local Bittorrent client's web interface.
It doesn't just send the urls to the WebUIs, but downloads the torrent and uses the file upload function of the UIs to add the torrent. Thus, it even works on private trackers that require cookies.
Currently, it supports several web interfaces, a full list can be viewed on the project page.
Per default, this extension scans any open page for links that match given filters and overwrites the download-action, but its functionality can also be accessed via a context menu.
Its filters are easily extensible using regular expressions via the options page, but a basic set of filters should work for most sites.

- (2023-05-01) Michael Krieger: This is fantastic. I disabled page content editing/monitoring (just paranoia) and kept the right click menu. Added my WebUIs and all is well. Note that some (ie: qBitorrent) have multiple versions. Tested with qBitorrent 4.5 and Transmission 4.00. Thank you!

- (2020-02-06) Paul Hodges: This works perfectly when added to Opera (v66) and linked to my Deluge server (v1.3.15). I can right-click on either a torrent file link or a magnet link, select "Add to remote WebUI" and in either case a couple of seconds later I see a confirmation notification. Much easier than my previous procedures which always required several clicks per torrent!

- (2017-11-22) Matt Beers: Has been working great for me! Two suggestions: 1. Add an on/off switch in the context menu, or a website whitelist/blacklist. That way we can choose to download local. 2. My server doesn't report back to the extension correctly, even though it works. Every time I download, it flags an error message. If I turn off the error flag, I have no notification of whether the torrent was sent. Add a "Torrent Sent!" flag that is independent from the other flags. That way I can toggle the error flag off and still receive notification that the torrent was sent. Amazing job on this extension! Thanks!

- (2017-09-12) Cisco Caceres: This is a great extension. Thanks, Ken! For the issue of not being able to add torrent, it's due to some changes that have been made to Chrome. I've found a workaround that works very well for me: First, in Remote Torrent Adder's options, remove the username and password for the webUI. Before adding any torrents, log in to your WebUI in the same browser. Now you should be able to add torrents like before.
