Seems to mostly work again, although I use unhook now to remove the sidebar entirely as blocktube is a losing battle against "New to You" slop, it's great to be able to use the search again and not have the same channels showing up over and over.

Does not even show the blocking option and makes other videos unwatchable (they simply not show up).

Fixed recent UI and blocking issues I was having, youtube is unusable without it so I am very grateful!

trash. doesn't block in the recommendations. how about you implement 1 button that you can click on the recommendations list and on their video/channel that makes their channel disappear forever. how hard is that.

Blocking function doesnt work. I need to have a tool that blocks AI channels from my search results. Everytime I use this, and use the "Block Channel" function. The channel still shows up with videos further down the list. Even if I reset the search, the blocked channels still comes up. So, 0 stars from me.

I was using this so I didn't see videos completely unrelated to the video I am currently watching, but now it blatantly just doesn't work, as in, the videos still show despite the fact that I had settings that SHOULD be having them not be shown.

It’s broken at the moment: you can still block videos and channels (from the extension options), and although you won’t be able to play them, they still show up on the site. The context menu to block them is also missing.

Stopped working a few days ago. When it's back up, I'll give it the five stars it deserves.

this extension is work, but somehow it will make the thumbnail on each categories either explore, subscription, home and other goes blank or no thumbnail in certain area. hopefully with the next update, they will make the thumbnail tidier, not only hide or block it.

the addon no longer works properly. i'll change my review once this gets fixed.

Please fix, it's the only thing that protects me from ai summary, vtuber slop and show clips, I don't even interact with them but youtube insists I need to see them. Save me.

Brave browser update 1.80.125 broke the addon. I can only block channels in my subscription tab, the one place it's not needed.

Blocking feature still works for channels but not on keywords. Blocked words started appearing in my home feed recently. Please fix 🙏🏻

I think it may be fixed soon, which is amazing! I used this daily until youtube died when I had it enabled.

This has not been updated since December 9, 2024, so it won't work as I tried dozens of times. The blocked people come back idk how. who ever made this extension should update or most likely just ditch it. I found another YouTube block tool called YT Block. So, I'm going to use that instead. This extension has worked for a long time but if it's not going to work, I'm changing everything. Luckily the Blocked channels that was on this extension i can copy and paste it in the other extension and the other extension works nice and I don't need to start from scratch on blocking the channels again. I'll be surprised if the person who made this extension actually updates but i doubt it. Its been 7 months orso and no one's updated this extension so i'm now giving this a 1/5 but it should be 0/5 if I could I would.

Used to work great, hasn't worked in a long time. Bummer. Still: 5 stars for providing such an excellent service for two or so years for free! We should be more grateful for this kind of stuff.

Was amazing when it worked, buts its been broken for a few weeks now as of 2025/07/13. Needs to be updated but I think this is an abandoned project

When it worked, it worked flawlessly. Unfortunately now it triggers the Adblock warning and you're unable to watch anything unless you disable it completely. Don't know when it was last updated, but I haven't been able to use it for over a year now.

Channels are no longer being blocked. Even the channels on the block list continue to appear due to the algorithm. Although the last update was a long time ago, nothing has changed.

60% of the time, BlockTube works all the time. Needs an update as it's currently broken.

Worked great until a few days ago. Screwtoob must have changed something on their end. Hopefully the developer provides an update that fixes it.
