Image from store Highlighter
Description from store Easiest way to highlight text on any webpage! Simply select text, then right click it to select the "Highlight" option. Alternatively, use the default keyboard shortcut 'Alt+H' (^H on Mac). All highlighted texts are saved so that your highlights are not lost when exiting a page! Simply re-opening that page will bring back all the highlights. NOTE: This does not work on very dynamic webpages like Facebook and most email clients. Support for these might be added in the future. ➪ View and copy all highlights on a page ➪ Copy all your highlights to your clipboard easily. ➪ Select existing highlights with a simple click to either delete them or to copy their content. ➪ Customize your highlight colors (and text color). ➪ Change the keyboard shortcut through Chrome settings at 'chrome://extensions/shortcuts'. • (2025-07-03) Jane Halliday: great stuff! works in surprising places (such as comparing phones using gsm arena), always consistent!
  • (2025-06-23) Bryan Williams: doesnt circle stuff
  • (2025-06-22) Adil Hussain: A real great tool, deserving of 5 stars. However, the fact that when the highlights are pasted, there appear ghost spaces randomly (usually around hyperlinks). Also there is no option to retain formatting and the text is pasted as text-only.
  • (2025-06-02) Konstantin Titarenko: If you select on LinkedIn pages that have reactivity, then this reactivity breaks. For example, if you select a name on a profile page and go to another profile, the page does not reload and the selected text remains from the old profile.
  • (2025-06-01) Rosaini Sulaiman: i am unable to see highlight.
  • (2025-04-08) Charlie Van hal: helps with science
  • (2025-04-03) vu lam: delete all button creata a side effect of reload the page, this is undesirable and may result in damage
  • (2025-04-01) Oscar Zhao: This extension worked quite well in the beginning but then it just broke on me, it wouldnt highlight and whenever i tried to install and re install it would still give me the same problem.
  • (2025-02-20) joo: Simple to use and clean. Exactly what I wanted!
  • (2025-02-17) Mantas: Works perfectly thank you !
  • (2025-02-09) Rob Penfold: Works very well, and good that you can use keyboard shortcuts to both highlight text and later view all your highlights for copying. Use it regularly for capturing highlights to Evernote Two suggestions: 1. Have an option to include the page URL when you copy all highlights (useful for later sourcing the content) 2. There are keyboard shortcuts to change the highlight to specific colors. It would be good to have one where you can toggle through the available colors as easier to remember one shortcut rather than multiple Thanks, Rob

  • (2025-02-05) Liam Ryan: Absolutely outstanding. I love that the app saves all of the highlights. This is so useful for later reference. Thank you so much for the company that made this. :)
  • (2025-01-15) Asya W: Originally was going to say it doesn't work but I just had to refresh my screens after installing the extension. I love it!! Love that I could create my own shortcut. I used cmd + H to highlight which is more convenient than the original for me
  • (2025-01-03) Karla: Doesn't work
  • (2024-12-11) Olive Dargis: Can't get it to work at all for me. 12/11/2024 on a Mac. I downloaded super simple highlighter instead it worked great with no issues.
  • (2024-12-04) Văn Phi: Good stuff, this is what i have been searching for a long time !!!
  • (2024-10-07) Elinor J: I've enjoyed this addon for months. I switched to this from another highlighter addon as this one would actually save the highlights in a more reliable manner. Recently it's stopped working though; my old highlights are still there, but if I try to make any new ones they disappear when I refresh the page. Hopefully this will be fixed as I've found this addon very helpful. I'm using it on the edge browser.
  • (2024-10-03) Jeorge Del: Highlighting does not work at all for me either.
  • (2024-09-12) Anatolii Bakhtin: Hello, dear Highlighter developer! Developer request: I want the mini lines to be displayed on the right side of the screen (on the scroll bar) as if you press Ctrl+F and see yellow lines where the found words are, just like I want for the highlighted words on the page. The colored lines will be the same color as the highlighted word. This way, when highlighting words, I will have a complete picture of the highlighted words at a glance and easily perform naivgation on the page to the desired highlighted word. Thank you for your work! And thank you for your attention!
  • (2024-09-10) Timoteo: doesn't work (in Opera, at least). Select text, right-click, select "Highlight", nothing happens. There seems to be no way to enable/disable the extension so I assme it is enabled since I see the "Highlight" option. When I first open this tool from the toolbar, it has an error saying "your markups cannot be loaded" (something like that).
  • (2024-09-07) Mariam Shehab: doesn't work
  • (2024-09-07) sharief ziauddin: Superb. Thankyou for the extension.
  • (2024-09-06) Zig the Builder: It works perfectly. Great piece of kit. I wish there was a pro version that would show highlights across all my devices. And, btw, those who say it doesn't work, maybe check Highlighter extension settings? Delve in, look it up, figure it out.
  • (2024-09-04) Cameron Conner: Does. Not. Work.
  • (2024-08-27) Ryan Chan: It's been years and this still does not work. Chrome might have broken something but the point still stands.
  • (2024-08-23) Tristan Rentz: every one of these highlighter extensions does NOTHING!!! thanks for wasting my time!
  • (2024-08-21) anukriti: it works fine for highlighting but i don't think there is a place to access all your highlights so unless you specifically visit that page, you pretty much lose what you highlighted. if i'm mistaken can someone please let me know? i really need to see all previous highlights and i don't know how many i have, or on which specific URLs.
  • (2024-08-15) Nguyễn Thị Bình: ok
  • (2024-08-15) Le Thien Anh: yeah it doesnt work at all
  • (2024-08-02) Chantelle: Works great but doesn't always save the highlights. Also doesn't work for pdf documents.

  • (2024-05-29) Lê Quỳnh Hương: I CAN'T USE THEM 😭 P/S: OMG I CAN NOWWWWW
  • (2024-05-17) masum reza (Reza): i love this highlighter. its so simple, minimalistic and user friendly.
  • (2024-05-08) Hadi Taheri: This Highlighter has been very useful.
  • (2024-05-07) Renita N: does the highlighting well. If it had below features then it would have been a collaboration study tool like no other. 1) ability to share webpages with highlights (its ok if the reciver need to instal the extension or register) 2) ability to add notes (its ok , it it have a size limit of 50 characters).
  • (2024-05-05) Sarah: love it but would be better if you included an option to add notes to our highlights
  • (2024-04-30) Remedan Bashi: it could have been the best extension if it could work on notion and notion like website
  • (2024-04-26) Mantas: works perfectly, does what it's supposed to no problems or bugs.
  • (2024-04-22) Jeff Baker: I have been using this extension for a few years without much problem. I think most reviewers don't realize that after you install the extension you need to refresh ⟳ any websites that are already open in a tab. The developer should write that clearly in the instructions. Also the developer should let users know that extensions are not allowed to work at the Chrome Web Store or any special chrome:// pages. Attention Developer: There is a way to make extensions install the content script on tabs that are already open when an extension is installed using chrome.scripting.executeScript(). • (2024-04-04) Kim Alderman: "That Girl" is my hero this morning! Thanks for easy tip on how to make this awesome extension work.
  • (2024-04-03) vignesh NGWS66: I did not clear cache But some of my website Highlighting markings are missing...
  • (2024-04-03) tom deu: Does not work for me. Even Highlighting is barely possible but only if you deactivate all other script blocking plugins. And there is no option to copy/transfer the text into a external markdown app. Standard copy paste does not include the highlights. Sorry for that bad review - maybe i am only a layer 8 problem :-)
  • (2024-04-02) Manila Chan.: First, thank you to "That Girl" for the quick how-to on making this extension work! This extension is awesome! I can now highlight directly on a website, even exit the site, go back to it...and my original highlight is still there! I tried this on several news articles. It works! What a great researching tool!
  • (2024-04-02) that girl: Guys it does work! After you've installed this highlighting tool. On your chrome, Click on the option that has the three dots (top right corner) > Settings > Accessibility > Click on "Show a quick highlight on the focused object" Then refresh the page with the document you want to highlight, select the text, and then right click "Highlight" (or Alt + H) Hope that helps :)
  • (2024-03-24) Fahmida Sultana Emu: So far works for me. And I loved it. It made my research work easier!!
  • (2024-03-17) yassin yassin: useless, does not work at all!
  • (2024-03-11) Sherzod Nurullayev: Didn't work
