This extension allows you to create and use templates for issue descriptions and comments.
With the installation of this addon in your favorite browser, you will be able to manage until 4 Description Templates in your JIRA Cloud instance. Very useful for repetitive tasks creation.
The description templates are processed and stored in cookies inside the Browser. Just install and ready to use it. Plug & Play
Usage: Description Templates by Project and IssueType
Since October 2022, we have released a new powerful feature! Templates by Project with no Jira Admin intervention!!
Just create a ticket in your project with summary “TEMPLATE:IssueTypeName”, ex: “TEMPLATE:Bug” and the system will use the description of the ticket for the next created Bugs. You can also define a “TEMPLATE:Default” summary to apply to the rest of IssueTypes.
Is plug’n’play!

- (2019-11-08) It's ok. The biggest problem is you have to go through the links in the left project nav in order to have the template buttons available. This would be waaaaay more useful if these buttons were always available wherever the description box was rendered.
- (2019-10-25) Barbara Casares Santiago: Although it would be better if you could share the templates with all the users of a project, the problem is that the Chrome extension creates a mistake in the visualization of some gadgets in the dashboards!! Since I installed the extension I couldn't see anymore a burndown (conflict with permissions it seemed), issue calendar and other gadgets in dashboards (with error HTTP 400...); I tried uninstalling the extension and I could see again the gadgets... So the pluggin could be better, the extension makes the pluggin impossible to use.
- (2019-06-04) Pachi Blogger: A waste of time. It doesn't work with Jira new version. Couldn't find a way to implement it, even with the JIRA app.
