• (2023-09-15) Joseph C: The only bad part about this extension is that it doesn't allow you to set a default zoom for all websites. I use 90% font size in Chrome, this extension forces 100% font size unless I manually change every single website. I'm not sure why there's no way to put in a default zoom value. I even tried to alter the code myself but was unsuccessful. To the creator of this, PLEASE make the default zoom value be either the setting in Chrome, or able to be set!!

• (2022-02-03) Brian M: First of all, scammy behavior when you install it. The first time I installed it I was inundated with "mandatory" installations of more extensions. The second time I installed it (to write this) it opened up a bunch of websites using referral urls. Scammy. Secondly, it didn't even work as expected. I set a zoom level under "path" and that page still opened at the default 100%.

• (2019-05-11) michaelnelson1024: This extension is GREAT... when it works. I have mutliple filepaths set to specific zooms and for the most part, they work. However, certain filepaths, no matter how many times I set it, which directory I select, or what the per-path zoom level is set to in the settings, it will automatically revert to 75% (or some other random zoom) when the page reloads. I've racked my brain trying to get it figured out but with no luck. I have probably 20-25 URL filepaths set, so it's possible I"ve overloaded the extension, but still, I'd love to have this thing work 100% of the time.. in which case, 5 stars!

• (2018-12-19) Chris Meyers: 2018-12-19 --- WARNING: DO NOT USE THIS EXTENSION! W Zoom lost ownership of it's domain, WToolkit.com. When W Zoom starts up now, it phones home to WToolkit.com, which then redirects you to random (bad) websites such as https://server4.pleasefourgiveme.info, http://bannofeeparfait.life, etc. This makes for some interesting Chrome tabs popping up! This extension needs to be removed from the Chrome Store!

• (2018-01-02) Effort Ideas: Thank You Very Much for creating this very helpful extension. I needed to zoom in just one tab but not the others. This extension easily solved the problem. Also, when you open a link in a new tab, it displays a small zoom box momentarily where you can select + or -. This is helpful when you want the link to open at a different zoom level than the one you are currently using.

• (2017-06-19) Gnuthad: While this extension is touted as being able to set a per-path zooming level, in practice it's actually worse than the default Chrome zoom due to one major issue; it will not zoom until you have clicked on the extension icon and selected the zoom level or tab path option. Additionally, every new tab/window opened, even if opened as a duplicate, will default to 100% zoom. As the default Chrome zoom remembers its state between sessions and between tabs in the same session, this is a very poor implementation. This issue has been noted in previous reviews (Gary Miller, Oct 13, 2016) without a fix being made. Until such time as the developer forces tabs and windows to remember their state between sessions, I cannot recommend this extension to others.

I have multiple monitors and this just gave me immense flexibility with my tabs - allowing me to dedicate one monitor to less-active, but essential tabs, and the other monitors for larger-text work.   The ultimate control would be given by allowing regular expressions in the "Per-Path" URL field. I administer many web sites which run on WHM and cPanel. I'd love to be able to customize zoom levels for specific pages in those management interfaces. For example, regardless of which website's cPanel I'm using, the URL for the File Manager area contains the string "/filemanager/index.html" . I'd love to be able to set the Per-Path URL field to #cpanel.+/filemanager/index\.html# and make that area display at 80%. There are vast possibilities, if only W Zoom allowed regular expressions besides plain string matching.

  When I used the in-built Chrome zoom, any time I re-opened a page after I had changed the zoom, the same zoom level was automatically applied. I have added in an option to zoom "All tabs under the path" to a particular site and this site appears in the W Zoom options and is shown in green at the bottom of the options window when clicking on the extension icon. Unfortunately, when I open the site it opens at 100% zoom (i.e. Chrome default) and I have to click on the W Zoom icon and manually select the radio button for "All tabs under the path". This is rather annoying as it defeats one of the major reasons for having a zoom extension over using the default Chrome option. When a tab is opened which matches the "All tabs from the same site" or "All tabs under the path" then W Zoom should automatically zoom the page to the selected zoom level.

  Im trying to have a default zoom of 125% and i dont know how. At least with chrome without this addon, if i open my browser it zoom to the last zoom i had. but with this addon, its always 100% and i always have, for all tabs, to zoom it to 125%. I want to be able to have different zoom factor for each tab but i need the be able to set the default zoom of all tab to a certain value. How do i do that ? even the button always say "Default 100%".
