Many web sites disable user interface features in your browser that you normally expect to work. StopTheMadness ensures that those features continue to work for you in Chrome:
∙ opening a link in a new tab
∙ keyboard shortcuts (command-key on Mac, control-key on Windows and Linux)
∙ opening contextual menus
∙ selecting, copying, cutting, and pasting of text
∙ drag and drop
∙ autocomplete of passwords, emails, etc.

I purchased Brave though the Chrome store, but when I click "Add to Brave" and the "Add Extension," the download fails: "Failed - Needs authorization" I tried adjusting settings, but to no avail. Any ideas of what to do? - (2019-12-30, v:9.1) Ricky de Laveaga: Got stuck on 8.6
Got stuck on 8.6. Was able to update to 9.1 by using Remove Extension and Add to Chrome from Webstore page but for whatever reason the extension was not updating. Not sure what you can do about it, tell Google maybe? Anyway I use it on all my browsers: Chrome, Safari, and Firefox Developer Edition. Finally decided to give stop video autoplay a try and used app for Safari and to update FDE, but was unsure how to update Chrome. Verified extension version in Webstore was higher than my version, but button in Webstore was disabled and said Added to Chrome. Will email this outside Webstore in case this does not reach you or if you would rather continue the conversation over email. - (2019-01-25, v:3.2) Payment
Sounds great! Too bad I can't buy it because there are no normal safe methods of payment available. I'll be happy to be a paying customer when things like iDeal and Paypal come available to enable to buy it for Chrome.
