The Page Analytics Chrome Extension allows you to see how customers interact with your web pages, including what they click and don’t click. Use these insights to optimize your website layout, improve user experience, and increase conversions.
When you view a web page for which you have Google Analytics access, you’ll see:
Google Analytics metrics: Pageviews, Unique Pageviews, Avg time on page, Bounce Rate, and %Exit
Number of active visitors, in real time
In-page click analysis: (where users click)
You can use the Google Analytics date comparison and segmentation tools directly in the extension. Pages you are tracking with the Google Analytics code for an account your Google account login has access to will appear like this in your Chrome browse

- (2023-11-09) Site Wide: Echoing what many others have said, this no longer works after updating to GA4. This extension use to be a fantastic tool. Please can it be updated. I gave it 5 stars before, but sadly I think only 1 star reviews will get the attention of the developers.
- (2023-10-27) Michael Gilbert: Well, I used to love it, but spent two days baffled by why a page wouldn't load with it installed, but generated a popup - that was uncancellable - telling me to go to an analytics help page. That told me to migrate to GA4. Which I already had. No indication anywhere that the extension was deprecated or generating the problem. Of course, having had the damned thing running for years, I hadn't looked at the description. Sadly, my psychic powers are failing, so I didn't pick up the death of the product. Bah

I have been making myself crazy with Google Analytics, re-installing the new GA account - and NO ONE bothered to tell me that the site extensions are no longer working. Yes, indeed, why is this still available to download if it no longer works the new GA????

- (2023-09-15) Duncan Michael-MacGregor: This went from being an invaluable tool to a total time waster! Because of its errorr reporting I spent ages double checking I had G4 setup correctly. Turned out I did, it is just this extension that is incompatible. It is bad enough Google have changed everything, making it more complicated. Save yourself time and stress and avoid until they can be bothered to update it.

- (2023-07-09) Steven Gosling: Wasted my afternoon trying to get this working. Error message is obtuse (multiple logins? no analytics tags? permissions?) and 0% helpful. Tried to use Send Feedback to report an issue when I gave up, but on my personal user it tries to go to Google+ and tells me Google+ was sunset. On my business domain user, it takes me to Currents and says Currents is disabled for my domain - even though it's enabled. Eventually found the reviews here in an attempt to leave feedback, but all I can do is this review. It's irresponsible of Google to leave this up if they're not going to support it after two full cycles of Analytics migrations that kill this through bitrot.
- (2023-06-29) Whitlock & Lowe: Currently no support for GA4 and therefore the plugin is currently useless. Once UA comes to an end this will be dead in the water unless they update it urgently.

I sign in and it just keeps asking me to sign in again. I went to click "send feed back" to let them know about the glitch and it sends me to a google+ page saying..."Google+ is no longer available for consumer (personal) and brand accounts" nice...so how you able to contact them to let them know it's not working?!

- (2021-05-15) Sridhar Rajagopal: Hmm... the most basic functionality is some setting to specify which GA account to use - I'm signed into multiple accounts, and have two GA accounts. I can't be expected to log out of every single account and log back in.
