• (2022-06-20) Yasser Aly: My Facebook business manager and my entire facebook account got hacked directly after installing this extension, and without resetting or changing my password and that's another proof that it was this extension since it has an access to the cookies, He used the cookies to access my account and removed all the members with full access to employee access then added his fake accounts and posted something that violates Facebobok policies to lead my account to suspension and now he spent over $15,000 from my accounts and credit cards and he still trying to take more, I own a digital marketing agency and I had many clients with large budgets for Ads and he just terminated all this and terminated my whole career and life after I lost all clients and many of them are sueing me now after the large amounts taken from their cards and the large thereshold of their Ad accounts I used to manage, I am speechless for real no words to describe how it feels, I never got hacked before for over 20 years with zero scams or phishing attacks and after all this, a chrome extension terminates my life, Please be careful and I hope no one ever to experience what I been through the last days.
• (2022-03-03) BT O: The tool is actually wonderful. I've used it for years. BUT. And it's an enormous BUT. This extension overrides and locks your notification settings (along with other settings) so that you can't change them. Because of that, any website can now constantly send you notifications and spam you all of the time. How about the fact that any of those notifications of links that they send could be a virus. That enough evidence for you sir? I haven't even looked into the code or other permissions of this extension but just from that alone, it's a huge red flag and security risk.

EDIT: Apparently this has been fixed since version 0.4.8 but it seems I had to "Reset Disable Features" under the Disable tab https://chrispederick.com/work/web-developer/help/#allow-notifications. Thanks Chris! Now 5 stars.

• (2020-07-06) Matt Gardner: In new versions of Chrome, new extensions do not appear in your toolbar. That means that extensions you install are not readily visible. You have to fish around to "pin" them. I think some kind of post-install explainer would help this obvious UX issue with Chrome.

Please, please, make the resize options keep the sizes entered. Every time, this extension changes/Chrome updates, I am up for re-entering all the window sizes I need and I generally only realise that they are lost once again when I most need them....yes, it doesn't take hours to re-enter them but it is really annoying.

I'm planning to make a small donation to the dev to express my gratitude, but I thought a review was due first. The best thing about this tool, which it seems other people have also expressed, is the fact that i can trust it. With so many extensions out there, and so much privacy intrusion and "hacking", I've become incredibly weary of what extensions or apps I install (extensions can give you viruses too), so when I see some extension or script that focuses on one thing, even if it has good reviews and a decent number of users, I'm hesitant to install anything and I start looking up the dev and his or her reputation, etc. This guy, man, I've been using this for so long, and the trust and reputation is there. This tool is a MUST HAVE for any web developers, search engine optimizers, or anyone that works closely with websites, really. 100% recommended, would give it 9999999999999 stars if I could!. WOW!.

Regardless of what this extension does or does not do, it's a step over the line for me. There isn't even an option to disable it. I cannot think of a more intrusive way to notify me.
