Custom request methods can also be added by the user. - HTTP Basic Authentication - Responsive Design - 100% Free. No strings attached. • (2020-02-23) Daniel G.: Headers are broken. I'm trying to override referer and accept-encoding, but this app ignores what I enter and makes the request without them. Also, it sends data to Google (Analytics & DoubleClick)

  • (2018-04-06) Jarosław Szopa: The best one; for testing RESTful services. Many thanks.
  • (2018-03-22) Pet Er: The same criticism applies to this extension, so I'll just copy it again. Returned links are not clickable, you have to paste them manually to follow them. This kills usability. Additionally, it should support templated links. As it stands it is better to use an extension to display JSON and the developer console.
  • (2018-02-22) Theresa S: GET/PUT/POST, no problem what's so ever. Love it!
  • (2018-02-12) Satya Sidhartha: Best REST test tool I have used till now.. Keep up the good work.
  • (2018-01-25) Darren Gill: This client was really helpful in my efforts to build SharePoint Workflows. Other people have reported that it is limited in only sending JSON, I can't comment on that point, but for analysis of SharePoint content responses and what I need to build SPD 2013 workflows this has been a gift horse!
  • (2018-01-12) Anirudha Gohokar: Useless for making custom requests.
  • (2017-11-10) Michael Enke: On a service which is secured via ssl certificate: Response Status: - Unknown Status Code and Response Body: There was a error in the response. This is often due to a mis-configured service. Works well with Firefox RESTED
  • (2017-10-05) Tharaka Devinda: Useless for POST with data other than JSON

  • (2020-02-12, v:1.1.2) Mario Valle: Seems YARC does not work with HTTP2
I use YARC to debug a server built with Node.js and using HTTP2 createSecureServer(). If I contact https://localhost:4321/ it gives a -1 status. Instead, if I switch to HTTP based server that uses createServer(), it works flawlessly. Where I'm wrong? Thanks for clarifying! mario

  • (2019-07-30, v:1.1.2) A Kost: Response window issue
Discovered that if a rest service returns an XMLstring, YARC will display it as XML on the Response Body (RAW) page, rather than the XMLstring that it actually is. Minor issue. Love the simplicity of this client.

  • (2018-12-05, v:1.1.2) JSON
I am trying to send JSON in a put, but the other side sees all these escaped quotes. send: {"predicTrackTable":[{"satellite_k":"Kevin","epoch_k":"2018-11-29 23:59:37.032","azimuth":76.1,"elevation":75.2}]} receive: "predicTrackTable": [ { "satellite_k": "\"Kevin\"", "epoch_k": "\"2018-11-29 23:59:37.032\"", "azimuth": "76.1", "elevation": "75.2" } ] How do I put JSON in the payload window, to avoid being spammed with needless escaped quotes everywhere?

  • (2018-02-01, v:1.1.2) Mike Marsh: Download Response
YARC has been great for working with the API for a learning management system my university uses. Currently, though, I have to copy responses to the clipboard and paste them into files if I want to save the output. It would be incredibly helpful to be able to directly download the responses.
  • (2017-11-08, v:1.1.1) ri chas: Keeps saying its corrupt
Each time I click on the icon to open the extension, the icon disappears and the site isn't displayed. If I go back into extensions, it is still listed but it says "this extension has been corrupted". There is a repair button which brings it back, but even after that when I click to open it again, the same thing happens. I also tried completely removing it and reinstalling it. That made no difference.
