Image from store Use my Words
Description from store Customize your browsing experience by downloading “Use my words” extension. Replace your chosen words with just one click. What is this useful for? That depends on you. Are you annoyed by abbreviations OMG, LOL, IMHO? Well, change them! Want to have fun? Edit messages, comments, etc., screenshot them and send to friends (hint: Change even your letter grade for screenshot). Replace not only words but also phrases and sentences. ”Use my Words” allows you to create an entire list of words you want to change. Also, search and replace terms are remembered even after refreshing, and the inputs are case-sensitive. How it works: 1. Add the extension to Google Chrome 2. Click the icon 3. Enter words and their replacements 4. Click “Add” 5. To remove the pair from the list click the cross button 6. To delete the entire list click “Clear All” Enjoy your browsing!

  • (2019-09-21) Robson Fernando de Souza: This extension is full of bugs and limitations. Several words remain unchanged when I open a page containing them, there is no way to change its settings other than the words to be replaced themselves, it does not work on Twitter, it does not work properly on pages with more complex effects (e.g. when page scrolling loads new content) etc. And the worst: it flaws article edits on Wikipedia, automatically deleting <ref> tags and their content. Because of two flawed edits, I received two critical warnings claiming vandalism and was almost blocked there! If you don't want to be banned from Wikipedia, never install this extension!
  • (2019-04-16) Sequoia E.: The list seems to be case-sensitive, so if you ex. want to replace "kudos" to "glory", you have to add both "kudos - glory" AND "Kudos - Glory" yourself and just hope you never see something like "KUDOS". Also, after I tested it by adding in a lot of words (100+) to replace then going to a story that had many of them in it, it only ended up replacing the instances towards the top of the page. If you never have problems with case-sensitivity and are only going to replace a few words, then it works great.
