HostAdvice е безплатен инструмент, който позволява на потребителите да проверят с един единствен клик на мишката, къде се хостват уеб сайтовете.

Това разширение просто ще добави малък бутон в браузера Ви. След това, когато разглеждате даден сайт и искате да узнаете къде се хоства, просто кликвате на бутона и ще получите всичката необходима Ви информация.

Това е важно по няколко причини. Ако имате интерес да закупите домейна, можете да разберете с кого да се свържете, ако whois за този домейн не показва информация за контакт. Също можете да се свържете с хостинг компанията, ако даден сайт накърнява по какъвто и да е начин правата Ви и да поискате да бъде свален от интернет. Това е може би единственият ефикасен начин да се противопоставите на сайт, който накърнява правата на дадено лице, общност или др.

Richard Shea 2020-11-07: Waste of space sadly, it gets it so wrong as it's basing it on DNS and not IP for the A record. So ALL my sites it incorrectly guesses because the DNS of a lot of UK hosts use incognito DNS, but IP look ups do reveal host which I'd hoped this would use. Removing it and trying something else. Shame.

מיכל מיכל 2014-10-27: בהתחלה לא ממש הבנתי מה זה עושה, אבל אז התקנתי ובאמת זה נותן לי תשובה לכל אתר היכן הוא מאוחסן. זה איפשר לי ליצור קשר עם מישהו שכתב עלי טעות באינטרנט והוא הסיר אותה (לא היה מייל שלו באתר, רק התוסף הזה איפשר לי דרך חברת האחסון ליצור איתו קשר). ממליצה מאוד, זה גם קטן ויושב יפה בצד בלי להפריע
