Hotkeys for YouTube Music™

i enjoy this a lot. 1 thing: can you make a other one that works for just youtube. i listen to a lot of podcasts and they are not on youtube music.

youtube.com play/pause is interfered by this extension, it should only ever do anything in music.youtube.com.

Is there any way to work on all websites? Right now, it is only working on Youtube music.

It is a good app, but unfortunately often the quick keys on the keyboard for next/previous/play/pause don't work anymore, only the volume still works. This seems to happen after the system has been in sleep mode I think. A reboot is required before it works again. If this is fixed, it will be all good.

Great app! But one thing the volume down hotkey doesn't work, it shows its going down but the volume is still the same. Edit: Actually it does work, i just have to trigger the volume down hotkey to what i want, then click the volume up hotkey once and it will lower.

My shortcuts for the past 15 years have been Ctrl+Shift+F7 to Play/Pause, with this extension I have to either use Ctrl OR Alt and a letter, I can't use the function keys, which I could use with the late GPM extension.

Great extension that provides better support for YTM. I'd also like it if you could assign a hotkey for shuffle and repeat.

Love this! thank you! can have media keys turned off for chrome as a whole so YT videos don't get messed up when i play / pause music but can still control the YT music app like a proper media player.

This extension is great, love it! The latest Chrome update Version 99.0.4844.84 has broken it. This update has broken a number of plugins as well as the latest update introduces certificate signing. Any update is required on the plugin. Thanks again for the great plugin.

It just works, even with chrome app for youtube music. FYI, you have to restart both browser and the app for it to work.

SO happy I found this. Love the global keyboard shortcuts. Happy to donate $5. Note that you have to restart Chrome after installing.

Works perfectly as intended. Google should be paying you to do this for them, seriously.

All buttons works but when I pause the music it auto resumes after a few seconds, only way to stop music is closing the tab or deleting the extension, It's sad cause I've been looking for this for a long time and I don't know why it does that to me

So far, and I installed this about 1.5 minutes ago, it is flawless. A single reload and Logitech G613 has full media key control over the installed YouTube Music App for Chrome on Windows 10, to be silly stoopid specific and all.

Thanks - very useful and it just works (I have YT Music installed as a desktop app - needed a restart to make it work but all good after that)

No longer working as far as I can tell. If there's a procedure for making it work it needs better documentation. Also, no shortcuts for Thumb up/down. Which to me should have been higher priority than volume control.

Works exactly as described. Would be nice if there were more input options. Maybe one for each shortcut on the Youtube Music website? ( You can see those using Shift + / )

Refresh the page after installing. I was considering switching to other music apps after GPM ended because of this problem, thankfully this extension just saved me hours and hours of rebuilding my music library on another platform just to have play/pause buttons!

Note, if you already have ytmusic open, you'll need to refresh that tab to get this to work. After that, it seems to work just fine. Simple.

Wow. Another extension that gives Youtube Music missing basic functionality. I think I have more extensions than YoutubeMusic has in code. Thank you for making a sh*tty service (YTM) bearable.

It's not clear how to activate it. Not user-friendly at all.

Can you make the keys customizable? Thanks for the plug-in! Unfortunately, my work KB doesn't have media keys, so if you could allow customizable key combinations like the GPM extension, that would be perfect.

Tipped the YT Music team several times about them needing to support hot keys. And you just fixed it with an extension. Works great!

Oh thank goodness! Was getting really tired of Chrome seemingly linking keyboard media keys to a random tab and having to find which one is playing audio... Kudos to you, PaulHansen. Boo Google - poor implementation.

recent chrome update made media keys stop working, this fixed it. it even works while in a game so this is amazing.

Thank goodness for this plugin. I don't see how Google expects people to move from GPM to YTM without the functionality provided by this extension.
