Testim Automate uses AI to give you the speed and stability of codeless end-to-end tests, with the flexibility of code. Customers like Microsoft, Salesforce, Wix, and JFrog run millions of tests on Testim each month. Learn more at www.testim.io TESTIM AUTOMATE: Quickly record, configure, and customize functional UI tests. Record user journeys that are added to the Testim visual editor as discrete, configurable steps. Create reusable groups, configure validations, add loops, or insert custom JavaScript. Reduce maintenance with AI-based Smart Locators Each element is uniquely identified by analyzing the entire DOM and assigning a score. When element attributes change, the AI-based Smart Locators learn and continue to identify the element and test its functionality. Execute CI-driven cross-browser tests Run parallel, cross-browser tests on our test cloud or Selenium-compatible grids. Integrate with your CI or dev tools to trigger test runs on pull requests or other dev milestones. Troubleshoot failed tests fast Quickly identify the root cause of failures with screenshots, console logs, and network info. Capture video or annotate screenshots to send meaningful bug reports. The Testim Chrome extension only used for the purpose of creating and playing-back web application UI tests in Testim. No additional information is captured when not actively using the Testim application.

  • (2025-04-16) May Hayman Oo: I have already installed extension, logged in and reloaded but every time I clicked on create new test, error loading failed toast is shown and can't do anything.

  • (2025-01-30) Martin Geck: Clicking "CREATE AUTOMATED TEST" in the Chrome Extension opens a new tab with a new test, then reverts back to the tab it was launched from. If you are not aware of this behavior it feels like the extension does not do what you intended to do or as if you were in an infinite loop.
  • (2024-09-23) Jaron: It would be awesome - if it actually did what it's supposed to do... First custom actions steps for mobile were broken for over 2 months until they got it fixed. Next, they broke the ability to record tests by showing a blank grey screen on the mobile mirroring screen. After that, tests that use an on-device app, started using whatever app was last used instead of the one saved in the test. Also, opening an existing test and trying to add more steps will frequently wipe out the entire test when you save it, then you have to go back and revert to an older revision. Some steps saved from the mobile device mirroring screen will also randomly disappear from the tests. Their web testing might be OK, but mobile testing is definitely in Beta yet and is extremely unreliable. If only it was stable, it would be the best automated mobile testing we've tried...
  • (2023-12-12) Giancarlo Byrne: Anything using a "native events" doesn't work. This means hover, click, etc. There's a workaround for some of them by unchecking native events but hover doesn't have the option which really ruins the functionality and use of their product.

  • (2020-02-25) Records everything you need it to. Drag and drop, iFrames, scroll... when used with the testim app, it's really easy to add assertions or conditions.
  • (2019-11-22) Liviu Lupei: Too basic. Does not support a lot of elements.

  • (2015-09-18) David Virtser: Partially works, but very hard to manage it for few reasons: 1. No stop capture button on plugin icon. Not clear when does capture stops if at all. 2. The website scenario editor is extremely slow. I can't really fine tune my tests this way, it should be instant to be usable.
