  • (2025-06-08) Robin Rastle: delighted with the renewed menu bar. Appalled at Google arrogance and disrespect for long time clients. then these big corps are all the same ever trying to squeeze more monetizing and control. We are not respected customer, we are cattle to be consumed.
  • (2025-03-16) Steven Sawolkin (lymond6): I am delighted with Proper Menubar. And, I had one question, and Stefan answered with fantastic help and marvelous kindness. I'll be off to donate a bit to him directly I finish writing this review. I installed Proper Menubar on all my chrome-based browsers on Linux, as I prefer a menu bar to the hamburger/three dot menus popular today. But also, I installed it on my wife's school computer, both on Edge and Chrome. She loves the menu bar, and says it's a lifesaver there, where they force her to use Windows, as we prefer open source systems. So thanks for making her life at work so very much better.

  • (2024-07-25) Abhimanyu Dhiman: Awesome extension! The only bug is that there no keyboard shortcuts to access the menu bar like in Firefox.
  • (2024-05-08) Madcopy Madcopy: Why can't I reply to other user reviews? It used to be possible. Anyway, this extension is okay, it helps BUT it would be great if the menu could be pinned at the very top where it used to be. Also, there are many missing menu options. I can still see the menu bar on Mac and below is the list of what each menu item offers there (not including the shortcuts next to each sub-menu option or any sub-sub-menu options): 1-Chrome>(this one may be a Mac only menu item, can't be sure) >About Google Chrome >Preferences >Clear Browsing Data >Import Bookmarks and Settings >Services >Hide Google Chrome >Hide Others >Show All >Warn Before Quitting >Quit Google Chrome 2-File >New Tab >New Window >New Incognito Window >Reopen Closed Tab >Open File >Open Location >Close Window >Close Tab >Save Page As >Share >Print 3-Edit >Undo >Redo >Cut >Copy >Paste >Paste and Match Style >Delete >Select All >Find >Spelling and Grammar >Substitutions >Transformations >Speech >Start Dictation >Emoji & Symbols 4-View >Always Show Bookmarks Bar >Always Show Toolbar in Full Screen >Always Show Full URLs >Stop >Reload This Page >Enter Full Screen >Actual Size >Zoom In >Zoom Out >Cast >Developer 5-History >Home >Back >Forward >Recently Closed >Recently Visited >Show Full History 6-Bookmarks >Bookmark Manager >Bookmark This Tab... >Bookmark All Tabs... >Other Bookmarks >Mobile Bookmarks 7-Profiles >(Active User Profile) >Edit... >Add Profile... 8-Tab >New Tab to the Right >Select Next Tab >Select Previous Tab >Duplicate Tab >Mute Site >Pin Tab >Group Tab >Close Other Tabs >Close Tabs to the Right >Move Tab to New Window Search Tabs... 9-Window >Minimize >Zoom >Show As Tab >Name Window >Downloads >Extensions >Task Manager >Bring All to Front >(Open Google Chrome Windows) 10-Search _____________ >Report an Issue >Google Chrome Help

  • (2023-06-23) Lucas James: I actually use this extension on the Opera browser. Im hoping that this is that same one because I want to say that I love using this extension. It is especially helpful when typing in text boxes on youtube or Reddit when. they always seem like they're messed up. So instead I just type what I want to say in your note sidebar. I also will copy and paste things to save for a short time and they stay there. and I especially love that fact that it will read your text to you. Love it.

  • (2023-05-20) Hader Khan: A good little extension, do its little work also if in half of the pages I tested: 50% probablty you have the menu bar so it will be great and 50% you have not so extension totally unuseful. This is because 3stars, rasing to 75% and I'll recap at 4 star, 85-90% and I can give 5star (100% is impossible for a human)

  • (2023-01-09) Louis Kramer: I, do not like Chrome, no sir, I do not. Like Ford vs Chevy, Chrome vs Firefox is a controversy. It's Chevy/Firefox by a mile in my case. That said, I need to use Chrome for several work applications and Google Workspace. Pretty sad a State Bureaucracy depends on Giggles...err Google to maintain their information technology. Proper Menubar for Google Chrome is a godsend. I can navigate as needed and have everything I need at the touch of a button or 6. My only regret is I can't give you 6 stars!

  • (2022-11-15) George Knoppe: I'm not paying to see if it works. I thought it worked previously but not any more. Removing as no sense in having an extension that is useless.

  • (2022-07-16) Palomar Jack: "A swing and a miss". Nice try, but borderline useful. Don't have actual access to bookmarks. I use them a lot. You have to open the "hamburger" menu to get at them. You also cannot manage them at the menu, like drag and drop because, they are not there anyway. This menu is just a local web page overlaying the one you are viewing. I just wish the Brave team would put the menu bar back. Hamburger menus are fine for cellphones, but that is where they should have stopped. If people get confused transitioning between devices maybe they should stay with their little iphones, or whatever. Or, better yet, stay away from confusing technology with more that 10 buttons on it and leave perfectly good menu interfaces where they belong.

  • (2022-07-09) Bryck78: It doesn't save my settings. I put TOP and it never showed up. Yes I hit the green button. And every page of the program options is the same thing. No where to save your settings. I'd give up programming and sell rags, is my advice to you. Edit a year later: It is useful on occasion, but I default having it off, when I got used to using only when needed, it wasn't that bad.
