Description from store July 21, 2021 updates: √ Streaks! See how long it's been since your last redirect. Hopefully this helps motivate users to keep going during tougher times. √ Link to subreddit has been added. Join the subreddit and leave feedback about this version update! √ List updates ! Data on redirection events is now stored (to support the streak feature). Also, this ANONYMIZED data is sent to the database in order to perform general analytics on PorNo!. Porn URL-detection algorithm: https://github.com/mrvivacious/PorNo-_Porn_Blocker Android app: https://github.com/mrvivacious/PorNo_Android ––– IMPORTANT ––– * THIS APP IS STILL IN DEVELOPMENT The porn-site detection algorithm is still being improved. Therefore, not all porn/adult sites will be blocked, yet. More sites and improvements to the algorithm are added with every update, but keep this in mind if you are considering on using this tool for other purposes (a porn blocker on a child's computer, for example). * THIS APP DOES COLLECT DATA One component of the algorithm is to screen "sketchy" sites for adult material, should the user visit any. If a site is found to be adult in nature, THE SITE'S DOMAIN NAME IS COLLECTED AND SAVED. No associated information (name of user, time of access, date, etc) is saved. If this is still unacceptable to you but you wish to use this tool, please email me with the subject "PorNo! security". Another is the timestamps for when a user is redirected. This is also anonymized and will serve as analytics ("There were more redirects in July than August of 2021" etc). * WE NEED MORE WEBSITES IN ITS DATABASE The websites currently saved in the algorithm are the ones found in the USA, where I live and develop. Instructions for contributing ARE AT THE BOTTOM...assistance on globalizing the algorithm for more languages and countries will be greatly appreciated! * PorNo! IS A TOOL, NOT A CURE For one to truly overcome porn addiction and use, it depends heavily on the person's own commitment, determination, and perseverance. There will be failure and hard times, but with enough effort, success is possible. All the best. ––– IMPORTANT ––– **** FEATURES **** √ ANONYMOUS(!) user mode √ Out of the box porn blocker √ Redirect users from porn sites to wholesome sites -- the PorNo! algorithm √ Support for NSFW Subreddits √ Streak to track your progress! √ Add local files as redirect links! √ Cloud sync -- your saved links go everywhere you do √ Live updates to the algorithm √ "Emergency" button √ Resources for extra help and support inside the app √ How-to instructions available inside the app √ Privacy policy ****************** Welcome to PorNo!, an attempt at creating the last porn blocker anyone will ever need (we still have much to do, though ~). PorNo! is, by default, a porn-blocker, but with a twist: Instead of being greeted by a standard "Site Blocked" page, user will be redirected to sites that inspire and empower the user when s/he visits a porn site. Inside a porn user's mind are many connections and pathways that have associated pleasure with porn. By redirecting users, we make an attempt to reroute these connections to associate pleasure with more wholesome and joyful content, overwriting the influences porn has left behind. The idea is to convert unwanted sexual/pornographic dependencies into personal, meaningful energies, energy now used in wholesome and forward-moving outlets. Click the yellow heart in your browser for more information. Add links to sites that inspire you, empower you, encourage you to do great things, to do your best....etc. Sites, articles, videos, music, add whatever! Included inside the popup are resources for support, instructions to use the app fully. To access the instructions, simply click on "How to use PorNo!" at the bottom of the popup. Instructions for anonymous use are also included on the how-to page. Please email me ([email protected]) all the porn sites you know exist as well as any sites that aren't being blocked. I've included a The source code for the algorithm is here: https://github.com/mrvivacious/porNo_open_source. Good luck in your efforts! ––– View additional projects at mrvivacio.us. • (2021-04-26) Elijah Parker: Absolutely incredible! Especially with the recent bug fix, and now being able to add uplifting websites of my choice, this extension is a MUST HAVE even if you don't struggle with Pornography directly, I first got into this problem because of ads that would pop up and take me to websites I didn't intend to be exposed to. Now whenever those sites try to take control of my agency I am instead taken to an uplifting website that is the POLAR opposite of where I would be otherwise! This developer cares about helping people overcome their addictions, and wants to see us all succeed! So this extension gets a 10/10 from me.
  • (2021-03-21) Joshua Nason: Works well. I really like it. Only problem is it's too easy to switch off when you are having moments of weakness.
  • (2021-01-27) Ross Mac: only issue is it redirects to your github
  • (2020-09-03) Si Si: Its good for blocking xxx sites but it blocked doordash :(
  • (2020-06-24) Grey Witch: What nonsense is this? I thought it'd stop streaming sites from displaying XXX sites. No, instead, when I want to send one of my own photos to a friend, it blocks the image. A photo of one of my roses? Blocked. A photo of one of my pets sitting in the sunshine? Blocked. This has to be one of the most ridiculous extensions in existence.Especially since when I stream a movie online, it still allows the XXX sites to pop up.

Please make it password protected. Anyone can't change its setting (Manage Extention) without password.
  • (2020-08-29, v: BOBBYERTLY: Completely replace part of a tab's history
I've been using this site blocker: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/self-control/ncaaipdfhdijmfdfmeoagmogddhkfdec and there is this really good feature it has. It's hard to explain, but it'll completely replace part of a tab's history, if the URL has one of the blocked keywords. For example, if the word "anime" was blocked and you opened a new tab and searched up the word anime (or anything containing "anime" like "https://myanimelist.net/") the extension would block the search results and you would be brought to a "Stay Focused" screen. When you're on that screen, right click on the back arrow and look at the tab history. The only thing in the history is the New Tab. Once you see the "Stay Focused" screen, you can't undo it and see what the URL (or search) was. It would be really cool if it was like that. Also, it blocks embedded things from a site with the keyword in it. For example, if you block the word "youtube" and go to the overview of this extension, you will see the video in the swipey thing that shows the feature of this extension is blocked and shows the "Stay Focused" screen. It doesn't redirect you to the site, it completely blocks all URLs with the keyword in it and replacing it with the "Stay Focused" screen. Also, I have a question: how are the keywords supposed to work? Because they don't work for me. If I type in "abbey brooks", that just gets searched up and this extension doesn't do anything.
  • (2020-06-12, v: Jan Kae: Whitelist Feature
Hi there, unfortunately the algorithm blocked an art page, where adult art is posted as well (only if you choose to enable NSFW content). Though I was not using the Site for that matter, so I can't use it properly right now. Always deactivating the add-on Is't the way it was intended thus a whitelist feature (For sites that are not only NSFW, maybe monitored) would be great. Otherwise the app is Awesome, keep up the good work. Best regards

A lot of these can be uninstalled, even with a password, which is to keep that from happening. So I am wondering if you have anything that will help that from happening.
