Description from store With a single click on the lamp button, the page will fade to dark. And automatically focus on the video. By clicking on it again, the page will return to normal. Turn Off the Lights is a lightweight and useful add-in designed for a more comfortable watching experience. A few great features in this browser extension: + Turn the lights back on, by clicking on it + Support multiple video sites: YouTube, Dailymotion, Vimeo,... and more + Customize your YouTube: Auto HD: Set videos to play in HD automatically. (2024-12-16) KeKe: I honestly don't care about the dimming feature. What I do care about is the option to control automatic video quality on all sites. It works and it's amazing for saving my data. Specifically when Crunchyroll wants to play ads at 1080p and gives me no options to control their video quality. I had a hard time finding anything that could do this and I'd say it's the number 1 best feature of this extension. 10/10. this feature needs more promoting. Only suggestion would be have a whitelist and blacklist option for the video quality since some sites do remember my preferences and aren't dcks about eating my data.

(2024-11-23) Wayne Sailor: Yeah, no thanks. It might be nice for videos but using it to dim white web pages sucks. Soon as you click somewhere it does back to white and doesn't stay dim. What is the point? Uninstalled after 5 min. This would be fine if you are not doing anything o the page or just reading. But if you are looking for a dark mode so white web pages don't hurt your eyes and are clicking anywhere for any reason, this will not work for you.

(2024-08-26) Devante Weary: Once you start using this extension, you can't go back. I use it for YouTube of course but also Rumble/Locals and a few other video sites. To me, this is something that should be BUILT IN to YouTube. It looks better, but also declutters your desktop and just kinda makes it a little easier to focus on what you're watching.
