The best.

Speechify is fantastic. It has allowed me to consume more articles at a much higher rate than reading them off a screen. Well done!

I love it! Could be better if it was able to switch voices more. Like if a male is talking, i get a male's voice, and a female, a female's voice. But i love it so far. Great work!

TOTAL GAME CHANGER FOR MY ADHD I’ve struggled for years with staying focused while reading—my mind wanders, I reread the same paragraph over and over, and long articles or documents feel overwhelming. Speechify changed all of that. The natural-sounding voices and smooth text-to-speech make it feel like I have a personal assistant reading to me. I can finally get through emails, reports, books, and web articles without losing focus. Being able to adjust the speed, highlight words as they’re read, and listen on the go has dramatically improved my productivity and reduced my frustration. It’s especially helpful for ADHD because it keeps my brain engaged with audio while still letting me follow along visually. I actually look forward to “reading” now instead of dreading it. If you have ADHD or any trouble staying focused while reading, do yourself a favor and try Speechify. It’s honestly one of the best tools I’ve found for managing my symptoms and getting more done. Highly, highly recommend! 🙌

I've been using Speechify for about two years now, and it has made nursing studies so much easier. I am not sure if there has been an update lately, but pronunciation on medical terms is amazing! Being able to choose a voice and speed is extremely important for me because I tend to follow a non-hypitched voice. I am more of a lower-tone, slower-speed voice-type learner, yet I still prefer a natural voice; it just registers and processes better for my brain.

very helpful

great needs better detection hate having to click back and forth. maybe some controls to help with that.

I've been a paying customer for a while now. Overall, it's good. It could be great if it detected all the text on websites. There are just too many instances where it does not detect and I have to constantly grab screenshots (Alt+R) in order for it to search for words to read. That becomes a waste of time and defeats the purpose of using this tool.

Right now just trying it because i can't get Google native Doc reader to work. free version sounds like a computer and is hard to re-direct to areas you want to read.
Marco Cabrera
Great first impression

Im dyslexic, and I would have failed out of university without speechify. I was overwhelmed by my work load, as it takes me hours to read short articles. My mom helped me pay for the subscription and it was the best investment, I have reined the subscription every year, for the passed four years. I went from almost failing out, to a high achieving student!! I am able to do my readings while going to school, or making breakfast. I can use it to proof read my essays- often I cant tell when I make a spelling mistake- but I can hear where something doesn't sound correct. Genuinely could not recommend enough.

Even though the ancients knew about all of this the conversion of machines to the human it's called animism you need to take it out to understand what's happening right now this human voice is absolutely deliriously comforting for me as someone trying to engage in some sort of writing it's beautiful to hear this female voice sounding so professional and concise even without punctuation she seems to know how to read the spirit of my words I will buy this

I love this app, even the free version. I use it to proofread my essays to ensure the grammar is correct and that they make sense. Would definitely recommend. However, the extension sometimes doesn't work, and I have to uninstall and reinstall it. With the new update, I hope this issue is resolved!

Great, great app. At $139 a year, it is a real steal if you use it. Let me count the blessings: 1. PDF imports 2. 100 plus real sounding voices! 3. Unlimited listening. 4. Great organizational interface! 5. Great summaries! 6. Works in Kindle Cloud which is a killer feature in and of itself! 7. Syncs with you phone, tablet and web based browser. 8. Listen fast or slow and read along on the page auto scrolled, why more do you need! 9. On the go, setting at home, online or offline, if you wish? Fantastic. Going where no man has gone before? Yep. LOL Love it.

Great extension! I wish there was a lifetime premium option available. It's also a bit pricey. Quality human-like voices though. I recommend it for college students or if you're tired of robotic voices already. This is my first time trying Speechify and the free trial is basic. Would have been nice to been able to use the different voice options as the default voice is very robotic and putting me to sleep. I have tried another extension called Read & Write, which was covered when I was in College for students with learning disabilities, and that had it all. Read & Write allowed me to customize the voice, speed, tone, elongation, languages, and best of all simplify articles to remove ads and adjust a font size, colour and overlay a reading bar or highlight words while reading out loud. I'll continue the free trial, but this extension is nothing special.

so far it's working good.

great for multi tasking

I am just trying this out today, and I have only been using it for the past few hours, but I can already feel more confident while working. As someone who is very dyslexic, but my career passion involves technical designs, it will be really helpful to have creative briefs read to me. I also find the voices relaxing in the same way I find listening to NPR or podcast.
Xenon_cy2
the camera feature to take a screenshot and have it read the text disappeared.
Renee Striverson
the voice is a bit mechanical but it is very helpful.

favorite TTS program so far! It has premiun features, but you can utilize and enjoy it without paying too. The simplest, most useful TTS I've found.

This is a very useful extension if reading long passages of texts without being distracted or having to reread it is a problem you suffer from. The voices are a bit robotic but it is excellent for getting through information. Premium is a bit on the expensive side but the free version works well enough for me so far. No complaints from me! Great extension!

I have ADD and this app saves my life every day! It get's me to my top potential as I can finally consume the information I need faster and without the time consumption and mental load reading was causing me.

BROOOO this is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I love ChatGPT's read-aloud feature for how naturally, perfectly, and realistically it reads output, and I was looking for a version of this that I can use to have anything read out loud (INCLUDING replacing chatGPT's reading thing since it always cuts out and bugs). Apple's reading feature is robotic, flat, and unnatural as hell. Microsoft Edge's read-aloud feature could be good, but it didn't even work, so screw that. THIS is perfect. Something I can just instantly get anything read out loud to me in a soothing realistic voice that's as if a real human is reading it to me. Something I was looking for too was the ability to increase or decrease speed of the reading. This does that. I could go on and on, but in short, this was everything I was looking for and more. FINALLY.
