- I have dyslexia and attention deficit disorder and dealt with it my entire life now 53. One of the most annoying part is going to a website Wanted to read a whole bunch of texts It's around 10 minutes I'm done I get mental fatigue. The problem I had with windows narrations or any other screen reader was mechanics and the voice It didn't flow like human voice. This app flows nice You can speed it up, keep your attention. Its great!

- I always put off articles to read later, add them to the reading list in Chrome, or store them in my Obsidian Vault. But now with Speechify, I literally have no excuse not to just read or listen to a few of articles that I have in my list every day. The word highlight feature is actually perfect for my ADHD to keep me focused on what I am listening to and what I am seeing on my screen which increases my knowledge intake.

- This app is superb. I rate 5 because I believe they can figure it out the negatives attributes themselves. I've experienced this situation with them and all reading apps underperforming transitions in language. So far my biggest complaint centers around reading bullet points or other things we understand are structural and unrelated to content. It becomes repetitive and chunky.

- Speechify is a great tool when it actually works, but unfortunately, that's becoming rarer for me. I use it on my phone and two PCs. The mobile app performs reliably without issues, but the PC version for chrome is consistently problematic: Logging in is extremely unreliable. It often fails repeatedly or takes forever. Even when login succeeds, the app frequently reports that it "can't see text on screen," preventing any text-to-speech functionality. I've spent significant time troubleshooting with Speechify support, following their suggestions, but nothing has resolved these problems. Most critically, I currently can't even access my account to manage or cancel my subscription. As of this writing (December 30, 2025), the login has been stuck "trying to log in" for over two hours. This level of instability on desktop, combined with unresponsive account access, makes the service unusable for me despite paying for premium. I'd appreciate a real fix or assistance but support wasn't helpful at all last i tried.

- I recently have been accepted into college i my mid-30s. I have always had a hard time reading and comprehending and enjoy listening to stories like podcasts and other things on social media which portray stories. Since downloading and using this tool, I have soaked in more knowledge than I have ever before. I wish I had this in high school! I think it would have made things MUCH easier for me to understand and comprehend. Gwenyth is one of my favorite all-time actors so naturally she is the one I use the most haha. Good job, Speechify!

- asks me to review after pausing every time, the 5 page limit is i understand a good driver for someone to subscribe but really lowers its usability for me. some times it doesn't even work re launching and pressing play still wont make it work so i have to uninstall the extension and reinstall once a weak. it cant read pdfs but there other extensions that can so now you have to take a screen shot wich granted isnt that big of a hindrance but seriously it cant be that hard to get it to read pdf's natively. BUT credit were credit is due this is the most sleek integrated and mature reading extension you can get so until other apps wich are more reliable feature rich lock in and make there apps less child like this is honestly the best extension so i reluctantly use it

- I can see how it works for some tasks. There are problems: In Coogle document it skips sentenses and small paragraphs. If it dees that elsewhere I did not notice yet. It is NOT great for reading back my novels to me.

- Honestly, you get all you need for free. It does not sound the crispiest and "HD", but once you get used to it, it becomes an amazing tool. ... That said, I do wish the price of the subscription would go down a bit. I already have my Dyslexia/ADHD taxes to pay 🥲

- I bought the ap for myself to read from sites that had articles I wanted to read but was too overwhelmed by all the site specific distractions. I started "reading" pdf's for my Medical specialty with the ap and found my time to significant comprehension improved as I could focus more at the speed that my cognitive capacity would allow. For those who like to read fast and comprehend more of what you read, this ap is just the right speed test you need. "Read" more comprehend more. We all learn differently and this moves the subject forward with grace and speed. Thank you Speechify!

- I just started using this application recently although I had installed it some time ago. I continued using the Google default voice until I accidentally hit the Speechify voice by mistake when it popped up. My oh my, what a difference. The voice quality is superb. I've been using it ever since.

- It does the job you expect it to do. I mainly use this for school research, so the only downside I encounter is when I open specific articles (in certain formats or with specific citations); sometimes I have to highlight the entire text for it to be readable, otherwise it only recognizes and reads the title. I like the variety of voices.
