- (2022-02-23) Berk Arslan: For me, it opens the url with "about:blank" text and shows nothing at first. Then, when I click on the url, it automatically gets changed to the correct url ("filesystem:https://...") and then I press the Enter key and it shows the image. I still rated it 5 stars since there is no other extensions that does what this extension does but the bugs should be fixed. Edit: Doesn't work anymore..
- (2022-01-31) David Mattoon: I am having the exact same issue Berk Arslan had. I restarted Chrome to no avail. Do you know what processes/settings he had to adjust? Thanks! - (2021-02-09) James Spielvogel: This works really well. Click the "expand" button in the lower right of any image, and it opens the full image as a file in a separate tab via the image's blob URL like: (blob:https://docs.google.com/{{image_uuid}}), so you can freely view/zoom/download the image with the browser like you would any other image, breaking it free from the confines of the google doc and its limited allowed interactions. The only problem is if you're inserting something like a chart and you want to add a link to the image that point to the 'real' diagram in Lucidchart, for example, the 'expand image' button stops working. So you can't use this with images that have links applied. The button is still there, but cannot be clicked. Removing the link makes the button clickable again. I would consider this a bug.
