• (2025-01-11) Eli Smyrloglou: I Have been using the softwqre for several years, but I can not seem to get it to stay live. When ever I reboot my machine or goe sto slep overnight the software is not ready to work as avertized. It takes a variable amount of time to activate after I initiate it. The software tells me it is connected but the expander does not operate. I move on with my work angry and disappointed , when I check back some te mies 3 min , 10 min but not working then on it s own accord it starts operating without any input from me. . It is coming up for a renewal but I am hesitant to proceed.

It doesn't affect other apps installed on your device since it only consumes minimal amount of memory (RAM). I highly recommend this for those who are looking for an instant template or for those that uses same templates on their daily tasks.

As far as functionality goes, it does absolutely everything I could ask for in an app of its nature. My subscription works on Windows and macOS. If you don't mind another subscription, it's a solid choice. There are even libraries of snippets you can download for things like customer support, coding, and Markdown. There's also an iOS version that works through a custom keyboard, currently in Test Flight.
• (2024-10-24) Jess: I've been using TextExpander for work for 2-3 years now, and even though I type ~100 wpm on average, it's literally saved me almost 113 HOURS! 🤯 (And yes, TextExpander keeps track of those stats for me too.) When I work on my home computer - where I don't have TextExpander - I notice a massive difference and feel sluggish. The other great thing about it is how accessible the TextExpander team is. They have a 'Submit an Idea' button implemented within all their experiences because it's important for them to continue to improve and be what users need. I love that!

I do hope this improves further in the future as in some cases, the abbreviations for our snippets do not work, but works properly when I click on the extension tool. Apart from these, it's all good!
• (2024-10-24) Mark Carpenter: I was hoping this would be as useful as the old Thunder7, which I had used for ages and has been discontinued. This app is BETTER. WAY better. It said it would save me hours of typing. Actually, it saves me MULTIPLE hours of typing, and I can send out fillable forms to people so I can get the information I need from them. Occasionally, some of the snippets stop working. The simple solution is to log off TextExpander, save your work, restart the computer and relaunch TextExpander, and then everything works fine again. I am more than happy to give this positive review. The neat thing is that this works on both Mac and PC, and snippets I create and save using Windows are available when I launch my Mac. That's pretty darned nice!
