- (2024-10-30) Brian Scott Curry (*.brianscottcurry.*): Blog Review: How Gmail Message Preview Transformed My Email Experience As a busy professional juggling multiple responsibilities, managing my inbox can often feel overwhelming. Enter Gmail's message preview feature, a game-changer that has significantly streamlined my email management and transformed the way I interact with my communications. The Power of the Preview From the moment I started using Gmail, I was impressed by how the message preview function allowed me to scan my emails quickly. Instead of clicking on each email to determine its importance, I could see the subject line and a snippet of the message right in my inbox. This simple addition has saved me countless hours. For instance, I could immediately identify which emails required urgent attention and which could wait, allowing me to prioritize my tasks more effectively. Customization and Efficiency One of the standout features for me is the ability to customize how many lines of text are shown in the preview. I opted for a two-line preview, which gives me just enough context to decide whether an email is worth my time. This has helped reduce the mental clutter that comes with a full inbox. I can quickly scan through messages without opening every single one, which has been particularly helpful during busy days when time is of the essence. Mobile Management Since I’m often on the go, the mobile optimization of Gmail's message preview is another lifesaver. On my phone, I can view a concise version of my inbox, making it easy to manage emails while waiting in line or during my commute. This level of accessibility means I can respond to important emails promptly and clear out the less relevant ones before they pile up. The Impact on My Productivity By reducing the time I spend managing emails, I’ve found that I can focus more on my actual work. The ability to quickly assess what needs immediate action versus what can wait has improved my overall productivity. Instead of feeling bogged down by a flood of emails, I can engage with my tasks more meaningfully. Final Thoughts Gmail's message preview feature has been a revelation for my email management. It has empowered me to take control of my inbox and has made the process of sorting through emails far less daunting. If you’re someone who feels overwhelmed by email, I highly recommend trying out this feature. It might just change your email game like it did for me!

- (2023-02-06) Rex Gyasi: works well, could we have on more in the drop list called "Called back" which is equivalent to "replied".

- (2023-01-27) Melinda O'Donnell: Love this extension! The only thing would make it better would be if we could customize the dropdown options to what our business needs (not just the 3 that it comes with). I.e. to be able to add "follow up" or "resolved," etc. depending on what you need the label to show for your business.

- (2020-12-12) J Boles: Love the concept, and initial functionality, but it needs a way to toggle the flag on multiple emails at once. Even in my important inbox, I get too many things that don't require a response or action, and need to toggle 10 or 20 at once.

- (2019-11-11) I like that it makes it obvious which emails I have replied to however it would be even better if there were an option to make the button smaller or even just a red X and a green ✔ denoting which had been answered.
- (2019-08-03) Bertillo Vasquez: 5 stars. As soon as my email opens, my eyes know what needs to be responded to. The color coordination is such a great touch that I never miss anything anymore.

- (2019-07-08) Denise Mast: Just installed today and it doesn't function the way it shows on the video. When I reply to an email, the email in my inbox still shows as "unanswered." I can go through and change the status but that's not how it's supposed to work.

- (2019-05-21) Michael Hutton: I love the Gmail extensions by CloudHQ but this is the first one that I have come across with issues. Immediately after installing, it didn't do what it says on the YouTube video, whereby I have to manually mark emails as 'replied' instead of the extension doing it automatically when I have replied to an email. This ends up wasting more time. I reported the issue to their support, but never got a reply. Since then, the dropdown selection to change the status yourself has stopped working altogether, so now all the statues are incorrect with no option to manually correct them. So, unfortunately I had to consider this extension redundant and remove it. Hopefully the CloudHQ guys address these issues at some point, as they do make some excellent extensions. If these issues do get fixed, I would definitely come back and give it another try though.

- (2019-05-01) D N: Really like it. Great job! But why do I have to manually change the status in the drop down once I have replied to the email. That costs a lot of unnecessary time. It should switch automatically to REPLIED when the email has been answered and leave the option to change the status optionally.. Would be great.. Can you do that?
