• (2025-04-18) Nafis Hasnain: The extension is incredibly buggy - everytime I click on the settings option, it doesn't open. Only a handful of times have I seen the settings option to even work. It's a very frustrating user experience, and I hope the Toucan team fixes this soon.

• (2025-01-31) Pablo Fiorentini: It worked for a while and now it doesn't work anymore and I can't understand why. To be improved, many bugs and some things could be done better. The application has potential, but for chinese I experience problems. pinyin is useful and many times is missing

• (2024-12-10) Muthukumar C. R.: I am trying to learn Italian. Had been learning the basics before through audio books. Toucan seemed like something new. A new approach to learning. It is Unique in a way, I get to learn in the middle of other browsing stuff, instead of spending separate time for it. Just tried it for a few days and I didn't even realize that I started picking up Italian words. Great job! Hope there would be advanced additions in the future.

• (2024-11-27) Jared Ratcliff: Has good potential, but as other users have said, very buggy. clicking the plugin icon rarely actually opens the settings panel-- thus preventing me from disabling it on certain websites.
• (2024-11-26) Ben J: its good for the most part, but it has its issues 1. it takes too many resources 2. once you get a word fully learned it should only show it to you very rarely, but for me "comida" a word I learned in the first week still shows up nearly every time it can 3. I wish they would add latin and greek
• (2024-11-15) R Phipps: A genius app! You just learn as you scroll. Learning the vocabulary in a foreign language seems very natural now. I can not recommend it anymore highly. It is a must have!
• (2024-10-29) Matt Bennett: Has potential to be great, but too buggy to be of much use. Most of the time the extension icon does not respond to clicks to load the dashboard, making it extremely frustrating and time-consuming to turn off the extension for certain websites. Uninstalling the extension now and will check on it again in the future to see if it's working any better.

• (2024-09-24) ivy: it has a lot of bugs and i wish you could set more than one language as your already known languages. for instance i'm spanish but have a c2 on english so i often search pages on both languages so i would love it that no matter what site i'm in it will still translate random words to my target language.

• (2024-09-16) Julia Leyva: This is an awesome idea but I had to delete it because it was so glitchy. It's actually really helpful to have foreign language words in a contextual setting, great way to learn, but not if it's crashing your browser every 2 minutes.

• (2024-09-03) Daniel Middleman: This would be a cool app if it wasn't a total resource hog. I've tried it on three different chrome-based browsers and this extension freezes up my mouse cursor and the browser and I end up using the task manager to force the browser to shut down.

If this is a backdoor marketing tactic for Babbel then it sure is working. I’ll see how it develops and if it goes well I’ll check the rest of their language learning offerings. • (2024-06-29) Adrian “Big Challenges” Olives: I realize this is nitpicky, but Toucan supports Spain Spanish and not Latin American Spanish. This really isn't a huge barrier to usage, but is annoying.

Sometimes gets too much RAM, which is expected, but you can just use ctrl+e shortcut to disable until your pc gets some fresh air.

• (2024-04-04) Ab: Doesn't work. Gave it permission for the site, logged in. Selecting words does nothing, nor are there words that are marked out. Tried on different websites.
