Playlist Sorter for YouTube

Does not work if there are more than 300 videos in a playlist but that's okay for now. However, this is on chromes list of extensions to be removed. Any plans to update it so it passes their rules?

Works great and no confusion about how to use it! Installed, logged in my youtube account, clicked on the playlist I wanted to sort, and clicked A to Z. It automatically sorted a playlist that I never had the patience to sort myself and in just a few seconds. Thanks developer!

This isn't working for me. I installed it, and I click on the button when I have both a playlist open, and a list of playlists. Both times, I get a 'login with youtube' button, and when I login (I was of course already logged in) it takes me to a sorted playlist! However - i can only exit this screen with the choice 'logout' - there is no other way out. If I logout, and reopen youtube, no longer sorted. If I just ignore and 'x', my other youtube tabs (or new ones) are no longer sorted. Not sure if this is by design....

Never expect such thing exists

Very good, because if your playlist still up to 20 song it easy to do it yourself, but if going over 100 you need this tool

It's good for small playlists, but overall I've found that it struggles in playlists larger than 300. I've been getting errors with "429: Check quota". The playlist in question is about 1000 songs and is part of a migration from Spotify. This tool here doesn't sort correctly (i.e. doesn't account for song titles with a leading article word) but can optimize the sort so it doesn't fail: https://ytplaylistsorter.carterrj.co.uk/ Can this be updated to follow a similar system / doesn't error out?

Al darle en YouTube a añadir muchos vídeos a una lista de reproducción en una operación en lote, los mete en la lista desordenados, como le da la gana, y no existe esta opción tan básica como es ordenar alfabéticamente. Gostei bastante, adicione também uma opção para tempo de reprodução, do menor pra o maior, do maior para o menor.

I'm so happy this extention exists! I'm can't believe it has to, but so thankful it does!

Extension works - sorts playlist either by A-Z or Z-A. Unfortunately it does not have ability to sort by artist. If I would do such sorting, I would first try to extract artist from title (expect format "Artist - SongName"), then if the title has unknown format use author of the video as artist. Anyway, it is nice that such extension exists - I do not understand why YouTube still did not introduces adequate sorting.

I have a couple of huge playlists on YouTube Music. The sorter takes a while… But… It works! Which is a lot more than I can say for YouTube Music. It would be great if this were to also sort the "Your Likes" playlist, which it doesn't do.

Awesome tool! Sucks that we still need something like this because the engineers at YT are either too deaf to hear customer complaints or too busy putting more busywork into their sprints.

It does mostly what it says it should but because of the severe limit on how many requests can be sent through the YT API it does not work for what I need it to do aka sorting a huge music playlist with 950 songs. I would love to see an update which will remember the progress it made in the first batch and start back up after the API lets it again because currently it stops at maybe a 5th of the list and keeps trying to run that same part over again.

Stellar product. Can't believe it's even necessary, I mean, come on Youtube, skimping on sorting options? Of all things? Others have complained about having to login to Youtube through the extension too frequently, but I think it's nice. It is reassuring to know the extension is not still logged into my Youtube account when I'm not using it.

I really want to like this extension but every time I try to use it, I always get the following error: ERROR 429: Resource has been exhausted (e.g. check quota). This extension was updated as little as five weeks ago--this error should not STILL be happening!

I was looking to sort the list of playlists, not inside the playlists themselves. Is it possible to add this functionality?

"403: The request cannot be completed because you have exceeded your quota" What does it mean? It won't work anymore :-(

Does exactly what it needs to do Makes you log in (which makes sense since its managing your playlists). I was in and out in five minutes, with hundreds of videos sorted to my preference. Great job!

This is a life-saver for those with long playlists. Mine have 1000s of songs and, absent a more fully-featured version of Youtube Music, sorting them via this app is the only way I have found of identifying duplicates. Thanks for putting this together!

I am getting this message: Error retrieving playlists: Error retrieving playlists: 403. Is this a bug? Is there any way to work around it?

Used to be great, but now it always fails to load my playlists, which worked fine before.

Thank you! I have large playlists with 400-500 entries and sometimes they would contain multiple versions of songs that were nearly identical but differed by a few seconds in length. Finding the duplicates was always a pain before, but once the list is sorted it is much easier. Thank you for providing this extension!

It is sadly no longer working. It requires manual edit to be enabled, however that option can't be found through the new playlist interface. Without turning that on, it can't work.

I have a YTM playlist with 960 music tracks in it - at the speed it's going it's going to take 3/4hour to complete the A-Z list @ about 2.5secs per track. Is this normal?

This is perfect. Works well, I was looking for something that can help me sort songs on YouTube Music, since YouTube Music and YouTube shares the same library and playlist it does sort my stuff on YouTube Music as well. Exactly what I was looking for.

Gotta say does what it says it says it does, and does it well. Love it. I would love to see a sorting function that has to do with the channel. For example grouping same channel videos together and having the channels be alphabetically ordered. That would be extremely awesome especially for music playlists. Anyways really great and thank you!

Only seems to support alphabetical sorting which youtube does anyway. Pointless.

This extension is really good. However, when I use it on my music playlist, it doesn't work at all. For example, some will be sort as it's title and some will be sort as it's author. I think the reason might be the name of the song in YouTube and YouTube Music is different. If able, please the devs fix this problem but it's ok if it's not possible.

"Error because you execed your quota"...

This was great and really helped me sort out my videos, saved me time and was wonderful. My issue is that it stopped working and I can't find a way to fix it. At first it couldn't get my videos, then it kept saying "error 403" and now it is telling me that I "exceeded my quota". I am not sure what to do in this case and would love some advice. Thanks again :)

After login, it displays: Error retrieving playlists: Error retrieving playlists: 403

It does not work. My playlists are still out of order. Very disappointed. I will be deleting this extension.

I doesnt offer me any option for sorting playlists, just load them.

Very useful extension. But it have not enough sorting options, the option to sort videos alphabetically with group by publisher would be great.
