• (2025-05-06) Don Miller: NoteGPT is good, but the extension is lousy. The NoteGPT web page has more features and is easier to use without wasting credits. The little pop-up bubble gets in the way and interferes with writing and editing text, so it's better to turn that off. Worst of all, this extensions comprises security in some way. I can't log into certain accounts with a secure handshake while this extension is on my browser, so I'm removing it.

Still, you can only use this addon for 15 times per month for free. I would recommend this addon to everyone else around me if one can use this at least for only ONCE a day. (30 quotas per mo.) If you use this app for more than twice a day, you are a heavy user, so register. But once a day? Can't they let us do it for free? [Actually can't we summarize the youtube for free by ourselves already? i.e. Copy the script for youtube; paste it in chat GPT (free account); add "Summarize following:" before the script; then press ENTER.] Maybe , for greater user pool, NoteGPT.io could let us use this summarizing feature for free (or once a day) and charge for other highly developed functions, such as NoteGPT Workspace.

If Transcript tab has also the button of taking snapshot it would help much easier to save transcript as notes and get a snapshot of the screen also. Now to save transcript as notes we have to go to Transcript tab and then go to Notes tab to take screenshot. Hope this will help improve the product.

However, when I contacted the billing email address, I was informed that no such email address existed. Additionally, my attempts to reach out through other emails were ignored, and I received no response at all. I sent more than five emails. Later, as a last resort, I followed up with a strongly worded email. I finally received a response, but it was a large headline stating that my request was denied, with no further assistance provided. The response was extremely unpleasant, and I no longer support this company. I do not recommend using such extensions, especially with AI advancements making summaries easily accessible without them. I strongly advise against using this extension again.

As long as it can read the video time to make timestamped notes, why would you not expand on any video of any site? I didn't ask for transcripts or AI summaries for Coursera, but keeping the simple note panel would be very, very useful. Thank you.

I was used to an old extension that unfortunately got deleted which used to to do that, I used to quickly review all the notes and connect ideas between different notes.
