Native MPEG-Dash + HLS Playback
Allow the browser to play HLS (m3u8) or MPEG-Dash (mpd) video urls 'natively'
Extension is not for sale or third party ad integration.
Allows HLS and MPEG-DASH native playback in Chrome browser. Click on any m3u8 or mpd link inside Chrome to play it directly in a new tab. By default, the browser downloads any m3u8 and mpd files that were requested. This plugin checks any links to see if they match. If that's the case, it opens a new tab on a video player that uses the hls.js and dashjs library. This extension is just a wrapper for those players on Chrome.

10/10! just one request. the ability to choose from audio streams as some m3u8 streams offer multiple audio streams with a default one as well as the ability to choose from multiple mpd/m3u8 quality streams. especially in sites that don't give you the option to choose the quality! Update: Thanks for adding headers placements. they really work!

custom playback speed is what i needed, thank you. no other hls player has this feature
always worked fine, but all of a sudden every time I open chrome I get a page opening with - Please read this document before use! Read The Privacy Policy And then listing all the bug fixes and features in the new version.

Très belle extension qui permet de lire facilement des flux DASH et HLS, de manière stable et intégré à Chrome. 2 remarques cependant : * La version HLS support le LowLatency, mais pas encore le DASH. * Attention de bien penser à augmenter régulièrement la version des *.js dans les options du plugin, si vous souhaitez rester à jour. Une mise à jour automatique serait la bienvenue, mais uniquement pour les versions officielles des *.js (pas les nightbuilds qui pourraient être buggées).

Can this plugin be used to also play locally stored assets. I tried playing assets from remote servers. It plays well. However, when i downloaded the HLS & DASH manifest into my local HDD and accessed it through file protocol, the browser just displays the manifest. It doesnt start the playout. Any reasons ? OR am i missing any configurations ?

You should give an option to add license URL in the URL line itself. That will save the effort of loading license URL each time. Please add this functionality otherwise this is very good.
