This ultra light weight extension will prompt for password on chrome startup which users have to set after installing the extension...
Hope this helps all chrome users.. No need to lock each time before exiting.
Please don't forgot to enable extension in incognito mode.(refer screenshots).

- Works well when it works but more often than not lately I'm able to open Chrome without any unlock request, defeating the purpose of the extension entirely. It seems to happen the first time opening a browser. If I close the browser and relaunch I typically see the lock page come up.

- does not working properly there are so many flaw in this like open pc open chrome as soon pc turned on press enter option under password it will let you in browser. 2nd open chrome leave password field for 10 min and click on the new tab it will direcly take you to new tab,

- Useless rubbish. Anyone can open Chrome as a guest and then they just open the menu (by clicking 3 dots) and select my profile, then they can do whatever they want.

- this new version is so inconvenient, in the previous one I'd just hit enter and I'm in. now it takes at least 3 clicks just to enter to my profile. also the ui is so ugly. what a shame, perfect addon before the ugly update. now im removing this from chrome for the time being gonna get it back once the old version is back. also whats the point of using this now, when privacy was already compromisable before I even entered? alt: browser lock. just did what the previous versions of this app do. just search it

- It is working good but MAJOR ISSUE! IF U KEEP THE PASSWORD TAB OPEN FOR LIKE 50 SECS THEN YOU CAN OPEN ANOTHER TAB AND IT WONT ASK FOR A PASSWORD!

- This works so well for me! My siblings always get into my account and this works VERY WELL! Js remember to remember your password like if one letter is capatalized and don't mess up! This works SO well!

- After the latest Chrome update, the passkey feature is not working properly. Even after entering the correct passcode, access remains blocked, and all previously opened tabs are lost when reopening Chrome. This issue may be related to Chrome's encryption settings or a bug in the update. Users can try updating Chrome, resetting sync settings, or using session management extensions to restore lost tabs. If the issue persists, reporting it to Google may help get a fix. i prefer the old one thank you.

- I've been experiencing issues with being repeatedly prompted to create a new password, which is quite confusing. This problem has been occurring for about two weeks now, and I would appreciate a solution. I'm becoming quite frustrated and may need to consider other options if this can't be resolved.

- I keep getting the screen to create a new password which doesn't make sense (and I don't mean in the same session). It also has closed all my tabs which are now fully lost after that coincided with a Windows Update. Not happy about this, I'll move to something else.

- Agreed with what everyone just said in the last comments : Used to be great with the pop-up, but now it is frustrating, please bring back the older version. Im coming here again and again for any possible update. Please revert back to old one. You are loosing your asset there dude. Edit: Recent update solves the worst problem related top auto focusing to active area. Thanks for that. Yet I believe the popup with blurred background was the best. Not such white HTML page with the little texts in the corner.

- Lock is working. However, the password box is in a tab, not in a dialog box. Why the password tab is worse than a dialog box prompt? It's because your bookmarks and extensions are accessible when in tab. Not good locking method.

- There is vulnerability for your app. If the browser have bookmarks, they can bypass it by clicking the bookmark as a new tab.

- Please fix update. I not only have to click on the password field to use it, my pages that auto load won't work and I have to reload them after entering password. In addition to the already mentioned issues, Chrome will not load the start up pages when using this extension.

- The recent update seems more secure, and the password is not visible when typing, but *please* make it so that the typing field is auto-selected on launch, and the keyboard "Enter" enters the password. As it is now, we need to click on the text edit field, then type, and again click on the Enter button to confirm. Too much mousing!

- I hate the update—it removes the pinned tabs. I still can’t open it even after entering the correct password, and I have to restart the page to make it work. All my previous tabs are gone, and the security can easily be bypassed by opening a new tab instead of typing the password. Please bring back the older version. Is anyone on your team reading the reviews? They’re overwhelmingly negative, with a series of 1-star ratings.

- when it asks password, if someone uninstall ("remove from chrome") the extention then he can use chrome. This should be fixed

- Минимализм и аскетизм, но все работает. Настроек никаких, кроме смены пароля. По кнопке "отмена" браузер закрывается, при попытке открыть опять запрашивается пароль, поэтому замечания, что можно войти отменой в данный момент не соответствуют истине. Единственный минус, это отображение вводимого пароля на экране, для семейной защиты вряд ли надолго хватит)) Все это было до обновления в 2025. Теперь это бесполезная шняга, защищает только саму себя и то плохо. неудобный ввод пароля, можно открыть любую вкладку без ввода пароля, короче полное.....
